    5 Minute Rice

Anybody eat this stuff? It's the microwaveable Minute Rice.

I've been eating it and I don't think that there's much nutrition in it compared to other rice.

Anybody know a kind of rice that is quick to make? It's such a pain in the a$$ waiting for rice to boil for 30 min.

    If it's brown, maybe.

if it's the boil in the bag kind it's pretty high. to offset the high GI just consume like 1/2 cup plus another low GI carb like beans and some veggies. it's one way to change the overall glycemic response of a meal.

Ingredients say "precooked whole grain long rice"...it's the pour into a sauce pan and boil for 10 min. kind. Still high glycemic index? Thanks.

well no rice is truely low glycemic the diff. between whole grain and white is only like 5-10 on the index. I would still only use 1/2 a cup cooked and get the other carbs from a true low GI source like kidney beans, chickpeas, lentils or barley...
