    any negative side effects to intense cardio post work out

    i want to know if doing some intense cardio after i put in a 2 hour lifting session is going to bring me any negative effects concerning my muscle growth?

    yes ! after an intense weight training session your body is in a semi-catabolic state as you have a negative protein balance.

    high-intensity cardio burns more glycogen and stored proteins as less fatty acids are delievered to the mitochondria for use as energy. high-intensity cardio tends to also raise serum cortisol levels.

    after weight training stick to about 20 minutes of moderate-intensity cardio...

    why semi-catabolic LAM ?

    is it because you have only been catabolic for a little while ?
