Whomever wishes to be part of my political socialization project....

I have this political socialization project and I have to get data on at least 5 people, 3 of which are not friends or family. Give as much about yourself as possible, your political views and how you came to have those views. Thanks WBB What would I do without you?

    religion ??? agnost?

    how religious on a scale (1-10) 4

socioeconomic class of parents hard to say.... theyre well educated and from above average income families. socially... hard to judge

which political party you belong to none.

your stance on gun control I think guns should be prohibited

abortion i think any mother to be who is of legal age OR with
permission from parents should be able to have an abortion done under safe clean circumstances

death penalty I think the death penalty should either mean a very early execution, soon after the trial, or not exist.

trust in govt scale (1-10) 1

what type of citizen you are - cynic

your current education TVWO on N&T with extra bio (most
    advanced dutch HS system)

background on your parents and their view on govt and their stances cynics, critics

background on peer group, and any sort of background that would influence you attitudes, values, and beliefs towards govt.

greatly influenced in my view of the govt and the system (govt is part of system, not vice versa) by the events around my dads dragging lawsuit for 9 years.

peer group differs in opinions on this and politics is not a very popular conversation topic among us

It always makes me wonder what sequence of events happened in a persons life to make them think that way?

I don't take it the wrong way at all. No sequence of events happened other than my parents, especially my father do not believe there is a God. They have had a huge influence on my life, and therefore I share many of their beliefs.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I find it odd (lacking a better term at the moment) that many of the people here, who constantly demand scientific evidence to support reasons for eating certain foods, lifting a certain way or taking certain supplements, are the same people who will believe (blindly, read: without any scientific evidence) that some higher being created the universe and woman was created from man's rib, etc...

I am in no way flaming, I am simply providing an opposition to your statement to see if you, and others in your position, can see my point of view.

I want comment on it because I KNEW better than to comment to begin with. I was just surprised....that's all.

Unfortunately, most times folks are anti-Christian, anti-religion or anti-anything because they simply looked at the people that represented that group and found a bunch of fakes and hypocrites.

I assure you what one believes in no way effects how I feel about that person. We are all different for sure. Thank God for that.

i realise that there are things that science, however advanced it gets, will not grasp.

Even if there is only one possible unified theory, it is just a set of rules and equations. What is it that breathes fire into the equations and makes a universe for them to describe ? The usual approach of science of constructing a mathematical model cannot answer the questions of why there should be a universe for the model to describe. Why does the universe go to all the bother of existing?

    hawkings words btw not mine.

It's OK. Not taking it the wrong way worked.

My lack of a belief in a god has nothing to do with my perception of those who do, or the evil acts committed in the name of a god.
