For all you old timers out there:
This is a serious question so please no one ruin it with stupid comments.
I've noticed that the young women of this generation have been 'experimenting' with other young women. Such as at parties and stuff like that. At university parties, there are many girls that dyke out and stuff like that. And there's this sorority on campus known for dyking out.
So my question is: when you guys were at your late teens or early twenties, were girls like this back then. Has it always been like this or is this just a phase? What do you think contributed to this 'phase'?Last edited by Mystic Eric; 10-11-2002 at 12:34 AM.

Plain and simple. I seriously doubt that the majority of these girls are lesbians or even fully bi. But it looks good and sexy when a girl gets close to a girlfriend, and the both of them looking cute together have a greater chance of getting male attention.
That's my take on it, at least. That it's just for show, and most of the girls have every intention of pursuing heterosexual men. A little bit of alcohol and a little bit of a need to rebel/experiment, and boom...your old time girlfriend's looking rather cute and you can't tell anyone's sexual preferance anymore.
At least that's what I hope it all means.

chicks being bisexual has become trendy. i think i've ranted on this before. I see chicks wearing their sexuality like this season's shoes.
i think some of the influences include the popularity of strippers and porn stars in popular culture, jerry springer, maybe even madonna and her swinging ways. and yes guys like it. chicks these days are more eager to please men i think, and think that the bisexual thing is sexy because guys do. maybe that's due to the high divorce rate. *lol*
anyways..regardless of which girls is rolling around with which, i highly doubt true homosexuality is accepted fully yet in most places. it's just trendiness.A little learning is a dangerous thing...

Hmm, let me clarify this a bit: My feelings on it are neutral, really. UNLESS it's a girl I find attractive. The minute she starts kissing another chick, I lose all attraction to her.
