I'm dieting, as it were...but when I have a steak craving I eat steak. I make sure it's grilled or broiled, and that it's a lean cut and don't eat any visible fat or gristle or what have you, but i don't think it's bad at all.

of course i don't really get a red meat jones but one or twice a month, so it's no biggie.

No. Fish and squats do not mesh. Tuna was made for deadlifting.

Chicken, by the way, is for bench-pressing.

And tofu......tofu is for the machines, I'm afraid.

    LMAO at Belial!!!

Beercan, I do the same thing. I eat lots of steak when I am trying to lean out. Never hampered my progress, just as long as it fits into my ratios.

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Can you get other lean red meats, like buffalo or venison? You get all the good stuff w/o as much fat, antibiotics, other stuff that you get with typical beef...

    LOL @ heathj!

Well, the nutritional value is doubtful, but I wouldn't want to discourage the practice in any way

Of course you can eat steak whilst dieting. Just factor it into your diet, make sure you are still on below maintanence calories, and enjoy your fookin steak. You're going to have to take cals away from other places in order to fit it in, though. It won't make you feel like you can tear down walls (silly beercan), but it'll taste better so you'll have a better chance of sticking to the diet.
