is it wise to do HIIT on empty stomach in the morning???
extremely catabolic but likely effective
I wouldn't do more then 20 minutes and would have liquid carbs and protein on hand for immediate consumption
I wouldn't do it at all. HIIT is glycogen fueled.
However, you won't be negating the fat-burning effects by taking some kind of carbs beforehand.

You wouldn't do HIIT at all? Why not? What's better?
Just curious...
LOL.....no.
I'm the biggest advocate of interval training on this site.
I just meant that I wouldn't do HIIT on an empty stomach because its glycogen fueled, and that taking in some carbs to fuel it won't affect its fat-burning effects.

the insulin spike from consuming high GI carbs after an all night fast combined with the increased insulin sensitivity of the muscle after training would definately be anabolic.take in some easily digested protein(whey or some amino acid supplements).if you use creatine that would also be the best time to consume it.

power.... how much carbs?
My old interval training was running a mile, 40 yards sprinting, then 40 yards walking, then sprinting again, until the mile was done. Pretty good workout, usually lasted between 15-25 mins.
