I am having problems with both of my knees and was hoping that someone could give me some advice or prognosis. I believe that I badly sprained/strained both posterior cruciate ligaments about 6 weeks ago while doing heavy weight on hamstring curls. I plan to substitute with stiff-legged deadlifts as soon as I can recover. After the injury, I would have a knot the size of a golf ball pop up behind my knee in the crease from time to time, especially after squatting down completely which is required in my job regularly. I also had great difficulty walking down stairs BUT not up them.

But now, the knots are no longer behind the knee and I have no problem doing squats {nearly parallel} or lunges. My problem is that if I squat down at work to the point where my butt is resting on my heels, the pain is almost unbearable. It feels as though there is something in the crease/backside of both knees that I am putting pressure on that does not want pressure. It is like when I squat, that there is something back there inside the knee that just gets big and does not want any weight on it almost like a tendon or something is being put in a vise.

I plan to go on to the doctor to see what he says through an MRI or x-ray but I was hoping to go in with a little more knowledge than I have now.

Thanks for the help,

Jeff
