If this is a stupid question, I am apologizing in advance! I am wondering if ketosis is beneficial to someone who is not going to compete (not yet anyways!), but really wants to shed some extra fat. I did a search on this topic here, and couldn't find anything.

I don't have a ton of fat to lose - I am just trying to drop my bodyfat percent about 4-5% less than what it is right now. I do not know much about ketosis, so I will definitely have to research it before I try this. Does anyone know of any good websites or books with great information on this subject?

    I know a little.

I've done a couple of periods of TKDs. One of them worked better than any diet I've ever used.

The second time I tried it, I was so miserable I stopped after about 2 weeks.

    go here:

Then get 'The Ketogenic Diet' by Lyle McDonald.

    The basics are pretty simple.

Some people react very well to keto dieting, some do not.
