I noticed the other day that my delts are uneven. If you look at me from the front when I'm getting ready to squat, my left deltoid sticks up about an inch higher than my right. Actually, the whole left side of my body is bigger than my right....Why is that? And what can I do to even it out?
often, a weak rotator cuff could be responsible.
Yeah, that could be it....My right shoulder was hurting a little a while back. But would that affect my left bicep being bigger, and a stronger left pec? And how do I even it out?
your arm will be weaker as result of the damaged shoulder.
my favourite method of strengthening the rotator cuff is with rubber tubing. do a search for the other exercises with weights, there are about 5-6 good ones
What do you do with the rubber tubing?
attach it to a door handle and rotate the arm at 90 degrees to your body in an outward direction.
I also like to do a reverse fly motion to help keep my rear deltoid strong and minimise any imbalance in the future
i had the same problem with my biceps my right one was way bigger dan my left one, i just kept training them like i always would and they turned up nice, there will almost always be a difference but the difference is not always visuable
My left is lower cause of a motorcycle accident, damaged rotator cuff. Tendons and ligaments weakened a when I started lifting weights again seperated. Hasn't been a problem has moved since. I dl and doesn't seem to matter. Saw a chripractor he said not worth surgery. What it looks like is my shouldr blade is sticking up, or traps drop off. Rereading what your describing sounds little differant. My delts are same.
Are you left handed?
To even out a smaller side do just dumbell movements. Do them on your left side (or weaker/smaller) side first, then match that on your right. This way your right side will not surpass the left and the right side won't be doing all the work (bb exercises).

if you only do barbell exercises for your uppper body you might have bumped up the weight u push too quick, one side( your weaker side) might not catch up and that side will only be assisting pushing the weight instead of pushing in theory half the weight... so maybe switch to dumbells for awhile watch some inexperienced people dry to bench their weight and youll see there left hand is 6 inches under the right hand when benching its hard to tell when ur doing it but get someone that will watch u do it
excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible.
From now on, jerk off with your right hand and everything should even out. You'd be surprised at how jerking off with the same hand can make a difference in the muscles of that side of your body.
