Ummm.. hey I'm new here(obviously) and probably don't really belong here but oh well I'll give it a shot.

I'm a puny little guy.. a stick.. 19 years old 5'10" 145lbs. Which is underweight for me I believe. *shrugs*

I haven't started working out or anything yet and was just viewing some stuff about it on the net but do any of you have tips for a real beginner? What kinda workouts are best? Diet? Anything... I want to get bigger... but maintain or improve my flexibility and endurance too. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

    Ok Thanks. Will Do...

Oh another question... When I do pushups, bench presses, or anything of that nature my elbow makes a cracking noise(like somebody cracking their knuckles) is this something that is advisable to get checked out by a doctor?? or is it due to poor eating habits??

If you are ever worried about anything be sure to get it checked out..

hey there lox. i have the same problem. as long as you feel no pain, i don't think that you should worry all that much about it though. the docs just tell me that it's air popping. but if it ever hurts, you should go see a doc. and try not to have it crack in the same area, or else it could lead to inflammation and tendoniteus. (spelling??)

lox, i used to have the same problem. my elbow would crack every time i used to do bench. it made me laugh and screwed up my set. it was bad when i started but now it never cracks. i don't know but maybe since you're new at it your elbow isen't used to the new movement and the stress put on it. well whatever it is mine went away and yours should to so don't worry. and like the terminator said,if it hurts go to a doctor and don't lift again until the pain is gone.

my left knee makes that cracking sound like cracking a knucle when I squat... is that a different scenario should I be worried, it doesn't hurt whatsoever.
