    Ok, mild physiology lecture.

You're not fatter. In the event that you've had some spillover (which we were going for, remember tuttut ) I highly doubt you'd have seen it by now, given what you've eaten. Unless you've loaded something to the effect of 12,000 cals/day for the past three days, you'll likely not have really noticable spillover.

What you ARE doing is probably retaining a bit of water, refilling glycogen stores, jacking your metabolism up, and making yourself happy.

Don't make me come down there this summer and put you through your paces. In the weight room, of course.

Hey CGirl... I was gone all weekend and was busy yesterday so I thought I'd get my butt in here and say hi!! Looks like you had a good Easter weekend and it sounds like you'll be having a great time this weekend with HY and BB. Wish I was going with ya, but since I'm not... you keep those boys in line, ya here!?! lol Take care...

Tryska: That's right. I said fat. And I'll say it again. Just try and stop me.
Gal: If you could see my ass, I might put more confidence in your assertion that I am not fatter. But thanks for the attempt. (And B***** S******** is the incarnation of all evil. Please do not mention her name in my journal again - you might invoke her. Then we would have to have an exorcism. I hear that those can be messy, and I just got the place cleaned up from all that astroglide Narc left.)
Borris: Making myself fatter does NOT make me happier. But...I said I would do it, and I am. I can stop on Friday. I am looking forward to cutting back again. (I never thought I would say that!)
Bradley: Aw, thanks. The paper sucks, but humpys always help!
Doc: Thanks. (You're always good for a humpy and a drool! )
WH: I'll try to keep them in line. I'm not making any promises though - there's only one of me, after all. If HY gets all drunked up and gets nekkid, it will not be my fault.
    Pup: Aw, thanks, shamu!

Okay, here's the mother****ing bitch-ass quad day. It did not go very well. (Actually, it was fine except for the ****ing ****ty squats. But they really got the rage boiling, so I hit some other pretty good PR's out of sheer spite.)

    Front squats
    1x10, bar, warmup
    1x6, 115
    1x3, 1 miss, 135
    1x3, 1 miss, 135
Yeah. I had to dump the ****ing bar on the 4th rep on each of the last 2 sets. I got a little too far forwards on each one - it pulled my wrists too much and I couldn’t recover. Suffice it to say, I was enraged. There was an awful lot of plate-slamming and stomping around, and a modicum of cursing, as well.

    Hacks
    1x7, 70 in plates (ATF)
1x6, 80 in plates (+20 lbs) (below parallel but not quite ATF)
1x5, 80 in plates (below parallel but not quite ATF)
Don’t forget, this one has the singularity point in the sled.

    Leg press
    1x8, 360 in plates
    1x6, 400 in plates (+30 lbs)
    1x4, 400 in plates
I really can’t take these very far down before my lower back starts to round. My lower back is the LAST thing I want to recruit here. My lower back already /pwns the entire rest of my body.

    Extensions (plate loaded HS kind)
    1x8, 60 in plates
    1x6, 70 in plates
    1x5, 70 in plates

    BB curls
    1x8, 50
1x3, 60 (+10 lbs) (last 2 had plenty of back action in them)
    1x4, 55 (strict form)
I looked back in my training log. It appears that the last time I did any direct bicep work was on March 3rd. So I did some. (Nobody can call me a curl jockey!!) So...how come I was able to add poundage? Odd.

    DB concentration curls
    1x7 each arm, 25 (+5 lbs)
    1x6 each arm, 25

    Machine calf raise
    1x15, neutral, 190 + me
    1x12, toes in, 215 + me (+70 lbs!?!)
    1x12, toes out, 215 + me
Hmmm. That seems like a big jump in weight. Maybe I was being a weenie before? I dunno, but last time I did this particular machine I did 145, and the next time I did a calf machine with a stack was at Wilson, and I only did 150 there. So...whatever. I’ll take it.

    Abs
    Lots. And lots. WAY lots.
Decline bench (2x15 normal angle, 25 lbs; 2x10 extra steep angle, 25 lbs); hanging leg raises, 1x6 bw (some jackass busted in my way and I couldn’t finish ); lying leg raises, 2x6, bw; swiss ball crunches, 2x15, 15 lbs; round the worlds, 1x10, 20 lbs
(Confession: a really cute boy that I’ve had a minor crush on for a while now had just gotten there as I was finishing up, and so I did lots of abs in order to hang around and talk to him but not look like I was hanging around to talk to him. Owie.)

C'mon CG, nothing is better than dumping the bar on squats. It makes a lot of cool noise that resonates through the gym.

You can add weight because the bi's get alot of indirect work and don't necessarily need all the direct work that people think they do. I haven't worked mine directly in awhile but I was still able to move up in weight when I do. That's what back day can do for a the bi's. Impressive eh?

Magnus: Not when there's only 135 lbs on there, it doesn't make a good noise.

Narc: Look how cute and happy they are! (But I still think that's an 'ow' face, not an 'oooooh' face.)

    WH: tuttut

HY: That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm glad that means I don't have to work them very often - they're a boring little muscle, aren't they?

    Enough chit-chat. Here's the workout.

    Flat DB press
    1x8, 35's
    1x4, 45's (+ 2 reps)
    1x7, 40's
Pleasing. These were tough, but eminently do-able, and very tight.

    Incline DB press
    1x4, 35's (+1 rep)
    1x5, 30's

    Pullovers
    1x6, 55 (+2 reps)
    1x8, 50

    Dips
    2x4, bw + 15 lbs!! (+ 5 lbs), wg
    1x4, bw + 10 lbs, wg
    1x5, bw, ng
    1x3, bw, ng
These are my new favorite thing in the universe. (HY will be so proud! )

Incline skulls superset w/ cg bench
    1x6/6, 45
    1x5, 1 miss/4, 45
My God. I don’t know if it was the incline bench (I usually do them on the decline) or the dips beforehand, but...these whipped my ass. Especially the cg bench.

    Pushdowns
Reverse grip, straight bar: 1x8, 60. Felt nothing. So I switched to
Rope pushdowns, 1x8, 70. These were hard as hell. Go figure.

And...I went for a 45 minute run/walk with the dog today. He was bad. He almost got into 8 dogfights. *sigh*

Nothing else to report. Over and out.

HY: I dedicate all my dips to you, from now on. (And I am starting training for the ass-off tomorrow. You better get your butt in gear - literally - if you want to have a snowball's chance in hell against this ghetto booty. )
    Magnus: Thanks.
Borris: Oh, you know me better than to think that I wasn't annoyed. Just not as annoyed.
    ectx: HEY.
Tryska: I have a cat too. (The thug-dog would love to kill the cat and eat him, but he has been unsuccessful so far.)
Workhorse: Thank you! And... Me? Trouble? I don't even know what you're talking about. In fact, I'm not familiar with the word.
    CoCoa: Thanks.
Galileo-san: Are you singing the choruses of bad fifties songs to me? How sweet.

OK, y'all. I went to Charlotte yesterday with HY and Bennetboy. I was late (as always). The bodybuilding prejudging was interesting - the posing totally sucked (Craig got lots of ideas of what not to do!) and the quality of the competition wasn't as high as the last one. Craig's going to kick ass - he's really looking awesome, and his posing is definitely going to be excellent. (He's just fine-tuning the poses at this point.)

There was this one girl in figure yesterday that had been at the last show as well - she had looked good then, was pretty darn big, and we thought she should've competed in the bodybuilding. Well, a month or so later, she's still in figure, but she has put on AT LEAST 5, maybe 10 lbs of muscle. I mean, the girl got noticeably, significantly bigger. In a month. Hmmmmm.

Then we went and ate a whole lot. Then we worked out (details to follow). Then we drank a whole bunch of beer and saw some good bands play. (And yes, HY got nekkid, right on schedule - he mooned everybody.) (We won't mention the fact that I did too.) *ahem* A good time was had by all.

We did shoulders, and I did upper back as well. Craig took some pictures of HY doing some crazy ****, too - he'll probably post them later. (You know, DB pressing 110's and other such nonsense.) I am sore as all get out already from the cleans and overhead squats.

    Bent BB rows
    1x10, 80, OH
    1x8, 90, OH
    1x8, 100, UH
    1x6, 110 (+10 lbs), UH

    T-bars
    2x5, 90, narrow parallel grips
    1x6, 70, wide grips
    1x6, 75, wide grips

    DB shoulder press
    1x4, 35's (+5 lbs)
    1x8, 30's
    Felt good.

    Upright BB rows
    2x8, 60

    Hang cleans
    1x6, 65
    1x3, 65

    High pulls
    1x3, 65
Tee hee. These are absurdly hard. Also, my boobs got in the way.

    Overhead squats
    1x3, 65
    1x5, 65
The first set sucked - very unstable and wobbly. The second set was much tighter and better.

    Lateral raises
    1x4, 20's
    2x6, 15's

    Rear delt bentover raises
    2x8, 30's
    1x8, 25's

Heh heh. The overtrainer in me came out to play today. (It must have known it would be safe around HY!)

Whew. I already went back to bed for 3 hours, and I'm still sleepy. I may just take another nap here in a minute.

Well, what better way to attempt my reintegration into the chaotic social hell that is WBB than by posting in its microcosmic exemplar: CG's Journal.

In other words, me gonna post some. Yeah.

What bands? Local cover bands (you know, more drunk than good)?

And, just for the record, your dips are officially Good Things (TM).

It was nice meeting you. I had alot of fun. And I sure am glad I missed out on the moons. Well, HY's anyway.
