this is about adam archuleta, the 6' 211lb linebacker for the rams, and his new high speed explosive training.

quote from the article:
"What impresses Schroeder about Archuleta’s ability to bench-press 530 pounds is not the sheer mass being moved, but that it is moved in 1.09 seconds."
how he does it without rest days, i don't freaking know. but it is just another reason why i think the NFL has some of the best athletes on the planet.

Dontate to my favorite charity!
Pretty funky training methods, apparently they like the bench press...They do it 12-15 times per week...
Lol and 100-300 reps with 225-275lbs... OMG!?
Thats insane man, but it seems like it must work or something because he benches a lot very fast.

He does it without rest days because he's on steroids. Let's not play naive and act like the NFL isn't filled to the brim with juicers, thanks. And has been mentioned in many places and many times, cheating the drug tests isn't difficult.
That aside, there are thousands and thousands of gym meatheads who juice to the gills and can't even approach those numbers... any of them. Steroids may help somewhat, but they're not magical "anti-overtraining" drugs that can turn a flex routine into a 500+ pound bench and explosive power that eclipses many oly lifters. As much as I agree that they change the equation, I think it's silly to assume they change it that much.

I don't think it's silly at all. Look at some of the college wrestlers (again juiced up) who manage to atf squat 225 70+ times. Steroids have helped at least 1 guy squat over 1000 pounds, so who's to say what they can and can't do?
in all seriousness, some of that is kinda beyond belief, to bench 275 300 times is ungodly, i think i'd have trouble doing the bar 300 times. Remember when you smell BS you gotta look into it

American cars are like fat people, sure, they have a lot of power, but they're not built well, and they have all that useless weight, plus they make both make funny noises.
feel free to aim me, nejar462 im on a lot. Don't know much to warn you dudes, but im good at conversations.
Belial in reference to Ronnie Coleman, "Some people say he still has blood in his steroid stream, but I doubt it. Gas isn't one of the side effects, but that massive bloated overly muscular freak of nature circus sideshow appearance might be what tips most people off."
It's not in the same set. It's likely over a 2-3 hour period.Originally posted by nejar462

My training partner has done 225lbs for 100 reps over 6 sets, all in about 20 minutes time. So it is possible. Especially considering my training partner is natural and that player is not.

That's crazy! Simply ludicrous. Juiced or not it is very impressive.
Very cool.
