    water

Somewhere I read that there was a "formula" for how much water a person should try to drink. Like protein is 1g/body lb.
    type thing.
I thought it was like....your body lb. x .22 or something.
    Has anyone ever seen this?
Are you done with thoes 5's?

Why do you say a gallon? Why not 3 quarts or 5 quarts?

To me it doesn't make sense to intentionally drink any more water than it takes to make your urine colorless during the day- and achieving colorless urine doesn't provide any benefit that I've ever heard of. What benefit is more water beyond that? All you're doing is flushing out more electrolytes and water-soluble vitamins.

I always heard at least drink 8 glasses a day. But I could be wrong.:alcoholic

What I mean is, why 4 quarts instead of 3 or 5? What is it about 4 quarts that's better than 3 and why is 5 more than recommended?

I would just like to know the benefits of drinking water. I don't usually go out of my way to drink water unless I am hungover from the night before. Other than that, I may drink 1 glass after a workout.

Anything negative come out of NOT drinking water?
