I remember people talking a few months ago about people using weighted objects (like on worlds strongest man) to vary their workout routines.
I need a sphere, preferably metal, that weighs 50lbs - 150lbs
Any idea where to get one?

Look into the fishing industry. Bouys and large commercial sinkers might fall somewhere into that weight range.
Good luck with paying for it though... 150 pound spherical objects arn't going to be cheap.
Maybe a bouy of some sort filled with sand?
good thought...

a possibly cheaper solution
buy a draft ball (available at various beer places, at least they USED to be)... this is essentially a synthetic plastic ball with a spigoty thing on one end
fill it with a combination of sand and/or heavier particles (lead, steel) to reach your desired weight. Such a thing is usually 12-18" in diameter and oughta weigh at least 50lbs full.
call a foundry that makes weights in your local gym.....

Herc's boss was crushed when a fluke 150lb metal sphere fell from atop his office.

Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei
