    Need to RANT!!! FACK!!!

    Hey everyone...

I just need to RANT and VENT a little this morning...

It's more of a frustration thing.... I've been lifing for 11 months, in the 1st 6 months I did the stupid move of dieting too hard and totally canabolised any LBM I had gained.. but I've been lifting and eating ever since...

Here is the scenerio... I work out in a gym where I work .. it's not a gym.. it's a fitness center.. let me explain...

1 Smith, 1 flat BB bench, 2 cable racks (connected so you can do cross overs) 1 preacher...

4 various cable machines (1 ham, 1 quad, 1 bench press and 1 back )

    Dumbells from 5 to 65lbs...

and 6 cardio machines.. THAT'S IT!!

    < RANT + VENT OPEN >

I was in the gym this morning workout out back, since they have no pull down or any type of pull over (nautulis style) machine... I was doing the best I could with bent over rows and such. I started doing dead lifts this morning for the 1st time and everythign went ok... ( execpt I put on too much weight right off the bat and did not work on technique..)

This is my problem.... I AM SO FRICKEN WEAK!!! .... why is it that poeple around me that do a whole body workout 3 times a week and do nothing right in terms of nutrition can be adding weight to there lifts and I can't increase more then 10 lbs in like 6 months?

For example... I saw one girl this morning doing 30lbs dumbell bench press... that just killed me ... why cuz I can only do 35 for about 6-8 reps... and the worst... she was friggen skinny....

Another problem... everyone else is using the 50s and stuff and I'm stuck at 35s... ?!?! ok.. I will admit... I HATE training chest.. I don't know why... but I just do...

Now I think the thing that is getting to me the most is that I'm doing everything right... nutrition is great and very clean... and I'm lifting heavy.... (as heavy as I can... ) yet these people that come in "just to look good" are making better gains...

    GOD DAMMMIT!!

The only place I can see lacking is that I might not be eating enough (missing about 500 cals mabye a day)

But it's just depressing that I'm doing everything right and these people are just passing me by...

Another problem is lack of motivation... not so much going into the gym.. it's more the fact that no one else does ANY type of power movements... no quats... no deads... nothing... and since we have no power rack, and I don't trust anyone in there with my life, I'm too chicken to try to squat... I normally do front squats.. but since I have no where to start the bar (while I'm standing up... ) and I don't want to destroy my back tring to life the thing off the flat bench ... what is a guy to do?

I'm not sure If I should start going to another gym for Legs and back day... I'm just not sure anymore....

On days like this, I just want to say screw it... and just hand in the towel...

    Any advice?!?

What the hell is this attitude, get your self together, no matter what anybody tells you, you can be a great bodybuilder, nobody said anything about being the best, but you can be a great bodybuilder.

Do you got a car?, then just change gyms, to a more hardcore one, use the internet, chat with people in your local area ect.

Dont you think everybody feels weak sometimes, change gyms, and train like hell, if you want it, the force will come eventually, but do not lie to your self.
A big thanks to all my friends in the USA, I am deeply grateful for your hospitality and kindness.

Relax 8 ball......................... i see people all the time in my gym who go just to stay in shape, yet lift more than myself[ i WO 5 days]
you need to stay focused, concentrate on form, stick with the diet and things with be ok.
Maybe change your WO if you have been doing it a while. A good shock to the body is always good,

Rock: I know strengh will come eventually and that I've only got 11 months in... (with 5 "real" training months" but it's comming really slow...

PeterParker: Your right... Rome was not built in a day...

And BOTH of you are right... I guess if I keep pushing as much as I can, and keeping the diet clean and doing the "power" movements that long term I WILL surpass the other poeple in the gym...

and just to point out.. I DO NOT think it's a compitetion between me and them... it's just when everyone else is lifting heavy and you can't... you really start wondering what you are doing wrong...

Ahh well.. I'll keep at it.. and try and push harder everytime I'm in the gym...

I think i've got 2 problems right now... #1. lack of sleep (only 6 to 7 hours per night... ) #2. No fix routine... I'm always doing different parts on different days... ( that's got to stop... ) (and it's going to stop today)

Thanks for the help / advice...

    Later,

Ya a fixed routine would help a lot. Post your diet in the diet section so it can be critiqued, I think you might not be eating enough.

Do squats man. Start off light and work on form, move your way up slowly. Same thing goes with deads.

Finally, I would go join another gym cause that place sounds pathetic.
"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

When I started workin out, with mass gainer, the right diet, sleeping and all that **** I gained 24 lbs in roughly 5 weeks. (I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. I guess the situation was a lil different for me. I wont get more into that here though) Along with those 25lbs I also gained a ton of strength. (prolly cuz I was a weak skinny bastard at 6'4 - 175lbs, currently 6'4 - 205lbs ). I did the pyramid workout routine for 2 months straight. 10 - 8 - 6 reps and increasing weight every set. Then again increasing the weight on top of that every week. Make sure you don't overtrain cuz that will backfire.

Oh and yeah, make sure you go to total failure on all sets, that way you'll be sure to see some growth in mass and strength!

For motivation, summertime, babes, party, clubs, but also feeling good about yourself and having fun!

Keep it going bro, you'll get there!

    Peace out

most of the people who I run into at the gym who don't gain muscle simply aren't eating enough.

if your training is good and you work hard and intelligently but you don't gain, odds are diet is the issue

Thanks everyone for your replies... they were really appriciated...

Last night I got alot of sleep and toke a MRP before going to bed and this morning's gym session was great. Lot's of strenght... so I will continue to eat and really try to get as much sleep as I can... I will up my cals by about 300 a day to start out with (just adding a MRP during the day). I think lack of sleep and just a ****ty session got me depressed yesterday. I will lock down my routine and get a meal plan going again..

    Thanks everyone!!
