I'd have to get my cousin to record it for me since I don't get MTV
If MTV airs True Life I'm on Steroids & I'm a bodybuilder my only hope is that it's actually real people.
I mean take real unbiased people, not those who represent the stereotype otherwise the whole concept is usless.
I bet they totally ignore all the responsible steroid users who never have experienced any problems. Therefore, they will lead people to believe that all steroid users experience horrible side effects from the usage.

Of course they will. The don't want to come off as condoning steroid usage because they'd be sued left and right. They're going to show the worst examples... Come on, it's the media, what can we expect?Originally posted by ryan1117

ND Beast you and Ryan are being kind of presumptuous. The show hasn't even aired yet and you're already being the voice of doom.
Maybe they won't potray steroids as the best damn thing on earth but who's to say that the person they follow will be a bad example.
After all everything in this world is give and take, benefits & consequences. And accepting casting calls doesn't mean that it'll happen.Maybe MTV will scrap the idea of following a steroid user and go with the Bodybuilder instead.

I noticed under 28 for bodybuilding, under 30 for steriods. ?????
Also scroll down and there looking for people who have been effected by gun violence. Just another case of the media bashing guns. Playing on people emotions, for political ends.
The steroid section is only looking for horror stories. Read it a few times, that's all they want. Sensationalism.
The bodybuilding section will likely want competitors.

a)When it'll air
b)If it'll air;You never know the idea might end up being scrapped
And(if my take on MTV's Real Life is accurate)they'll be following some guy or girl around. So how bodybuilding comes across will depend on who's chosen.Did the thought ever come across to you that they might take a totally average joe who made a positive change in his/her life through bodybuilding.Because bodybuilding can change your life in a positive way.I've seen quite a few bodybuilding related topics on tv and they were quite open ended & well done.
And for the steroid show the same thing applies. It'll depend on who's chosen. So there's no point in being the voice of doom for a show that hasn't even happened yet.For the steroid thing I'd say they'd probably go with an athletic competitor.
Big show, read the quote millertime mentioned. It's not really good media to tell a happy little story about the guy who takes them and just gets bigger and leaner. They want to hear about fights, about horrible acne, gyno, life tragedies that come from drug use, etc.
If you think it's going to be unbiased, you're being a bit naive I'd say. They can't run a positive piece, otherwise they'd be accused of endorsing steroid use.

thats all MTV ever does is exploit people and issues. I personally disagree with steroid use so dont care if they make it out to be truthfully harmful. I'm sure thats stepping on toes here, but facts are facts, I would never wish negative side effects on any user, I just wish people were a little more health conscious
There's more to that quote Belial,Miller simply took the quote that steps on AAS users toes.
There's also this question.
Are you using steroids to build a bigger body, enhance athletic performance, or just to gain strength?
Besides maybe we should wait & see the end product before getting all worked up.
How about you be quiet.![]()

Big Show lets look at all togther.
"re you using steroids to build a bigger body, enhance athletic performance, or just to gain strength? Has your steroid use lead to unforeseen consequences that are bigger than your muscles? If so, we want to hear from you. We're interested in talking to people who involved in the world of steroid use. If you are under 30 years of age and interested in sharing the ups, downs, highs, and lows of your steroid use, please email"
They want people with a story to tell, not just I took AS and everything is fine. They want the drama.
Thank you. My point.

I agree they want a good strory. Whats interesting about guy who took steriods got big, and is now happy with the results ,boring. That might make a good show on sports network, but not mass media.
Mrwebb- as far a drugs having harmful sideeffects, yes they do. But not everyone who takes them has them. Especially in moderation.
