    Sanitarium Summer Tour!!

So, pre-sale tickets for the Metallica, Mudvayne, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Deftones concert go on sale in ONE HOUR! Then, the rest of'em go on sale tomorrow at 10am. Show for me is on July 4th. I"m of a dilemma though... I wanna take a vacation out west for the summer and then I'd have to make a 12 hour drive to see the concert if I went out there. But if I stayed, it'd only be a 2 hour drive, however, no vacation. ARGH!

We would never pay you to come to our show, so it's a moot point

Heheheheh. Y'all need to go listen to "Cowboys From Hell" and then wonder why you're wasting the time/money to bother with all of those bands..

Metallica doesn't have a bass player yet, do they?

Im not a bizkit or Linkin park fan, but Mudvayne and the deftones would be cool to see.

I saw Metallica back when they were a metal band (I'm old enought to have seen Cliff Burton play, I've seen every tour up until Reload)... seeing them now would just tarnish the memory of what was once a great band.

I don't even know who does that song. And have you listened to anything but what you've heard on the radio from any of those bands? You might be pleasantly surprised, provided you're not into boy bands

All I care about is the Deftones. Mudvayne is an added bonus, and wouldn't mind seeing Linkin Park. I used to like Metallica, so I'd watch them because they're talented, not because I particularly enjoy their new music. After listening to master of puppets, ride the lightning, and and justice for all, each 2000 times, the new stuff is hard to swallow. I'd like limp bizkit a lot more if they weren't overplayed on the radio and MTV

    Cowboys from hell = Pantera.

    Real havy music.

If you are more Deftones speed, you'd probably like Down (Phil Ansalmo from Pantera, a guy from Eyehategod, and guys from COC)

I like any genre of metal. Pantera is great, slayer, etc...

I've heard a couple songs by Down and I've liked them. I'll have to download some more.

Sounds like a good tour. New Limp sucks but the old stuff was good. Deftones are great live. Mudvayne should also be good, Linkin Park too. Metallica... they are ok I guess, Id probably leave early lol.

im from sacramento, so ive been burnt out on the deftones for years. nice to see what used to be a small local band makin it big though.

metallica just sucks now, i saw em on their last tour here and wondered why i paid 65 bux for a ticket, and swore never to see them again.

mudvayne is ok only on the radio, every other song on their cd's is awful, and doesnt sound near like the hits on the radio. kinda like false advertising.

not to totally knock this concert, ive been dying to go see a good show. last one i saw was testament in december, they still kick some serious ass, old school metal style.

    Yeah, MA representin.

I met the guys from godsmack and have smoked...err, chilled with the staind guys many times. I've run into Jon(staind drummer) at walgreens and Home Depot over the last couple months, and at a *gentlemans* club three weeks ago. nice guys

What happened to Metallica's bassist? Jason? Did he leave because he's an educated musician and the rest of the band is just.... well, not? Or did he not want to sell out?

He's a damn good bassist, though.

EDIT: WOW!!! I just looked it up... that was back in 2001! I've been living under a rock! No... wait... yeah!

Bob Rock's gonna be playing bass for Metallica on this tour. I know everybody's thinking "Get Mike Inez!" but from what I've heard, despite how much Metallica's always wanted him to play, I don't think he's gonna do it for whatever reason.

Paul - Down rocks. I still haven't heard the second album, but NOLA rules.

About the dilemma...you could always scratch the idea, save your money, and catch The Berzerkers, Strapping Young Lad, Dark Tranquillity, Napalm Death, and Nile on tour Plus I've heard that Strapping Yound Lad is going to tour with Meshuggah in the States after they tour in Europe. THAT'S something that everyone needs to see.

Linkin Park is awesome. They have a new album coming out March sometime and a single that is just starting to play.

Limp Bizkit sucks they used to be cool back when I was a litte boy. I thought it was so cool how they could say the f-word like 50 times in one song.

Deftones are badass. I love their music. White Pony is my favorite cd.

I don't know to much about Mudvayne. To me they look kinda like slipknot. The song I heard on the radio was pretty cool though.

Mettallica we have a radio station in the city that plays their stuff constantly. Sometimes I'm in the mood and sometimes not. I don't like any of the new stuff they've done though.

I think newstead leaving the band had to do with a couple of things - they wouldn't let him write, or wouldn't record what he was writing... I also think he wasnt really happy with the Napster stuff.

I haven't heard his new band, but his old band - Flotsam and Jestsam, was freaking awesome.

i like linkin park, but they sold out, BIGTIME!!!!! i bought there album the first month it came out, but the problem was... about 7 months after owning it is when they started playing the crap out of it. finally after about 2 years, they came out with something, but it was their "re-animation" cd, and they would get mad at people for calling it a "remix" album, even though songs on the album say remix in them... they did a couple of re-tours too. milking it for everything its worth... i hate them now.
buti am still going to the concert to see Deftones and Metallica
