    RJJ vs. Ruiz tomorrow night

Any predictions for tomorrow night? I'm so pumped to watch this. I don't even want to try to predict what is going to happen.

I predict a close points decision either way.

I hope Ruiz knocks him out.

Either way it's going to be a horrible fight to watch.Roy will be prancing around like a fairy, spending most of the fight running away from Ruiz, and snapping out the odd jab,and Ruiz will be lumbering around the ring after him like a dip****,missing with all his big shots.Alot will depend on the referee, and how much crap he is prepared to put up with.If the ref lets Ruiz get away with a lot of rough stuff, then roy could be in trouble during the clinches.

If I had to have a bet on it,I would say Roy Jones to win on points by a small margin.

    howsertrading you're so far off

RJJ is the man, fairy is not an appropriate term, he is by far the best pound for pound in the WORLD. He can use every punch effectively, fight well outside and inside and dodge well. Some say he hasn't faced a true challenge for awhile, well they can shut up. He is giving up 30-40 lbs to Ruiz. Ruiz, love him or hate him, was good enough to go toe to toe with freaking Holyfield(yeah, it wasn't really boxing but hey he still did well.) I personally can't wait to see the results, because whoever wins will go up against Byrd, which will be a good match.

how am i so far off?.

Everything i have said will happen on the night.I appreciate that RJJ is a great fighter.I dont believe he is the best in the world, infact i would reckon on someone like Calzaghe beating him,but thats just an opinion. However there is no doubt that he will dance around like a fairy trying to avoid Ruiz.I think you might have got the idea that i meant fairy in a derogatory manor when what i actually mean is that he will move like a fairy so to speak,ie be light on his feet/dance around a lot and be evasive.

"fairies are so delicate in their form that a dewdrop, when they chance to dance on it, trembles, indeed, but never breaks."

On a personal note,i dont like fighters who spend too much of a round, on their bike like RJJ will tomorrow night.I dont consider running away for 2 minutes and 30 seconds and snapping out a few featherweight jabs which may score, but do absolutely no damage,to be the sign of a great fighter.I like to see a tear up,and that is one thing that we definately arent going to see tomorrow,it will be more like a game of kiss chase.

Roy Jones is obviously a phenomenal fighter. But like I swear in his last fight against Clinton Woods who is an fiesty, eager (nobody) he was in a position to get knocked out a few times.... Like I swear I thought Woods got a few good punches in. And if that was Ruiz with heavyweight punching power..I don't know?

Ruiz needs one good shot......Jones need alot of good shots.
Jones has a good chance of not getting caught because of his evasiveness. I think if Jones doesn't get caught he will win on points. On the other hand, 10 or 12 rounds will give Ruiz alot of opportunities to land something and if he does it could be lights out for Jones.

I think its too close to call.

I'm sorry howser, I thought you were saying RJJ was a pansy.

RJJ has his share of knockout punches, he doesn't dance as much as you'd think. There will be a beatdown either way, I don't think he will do what you said. If Ruiz is smart, he would have developed a good overhand to get past weak jabs, and if RJJ is smart he would have anticipated so much. I think it will be a good fight, and besides watching RJJ is a good lesson in boxing no matter who he fights.

RJJ is generally considered by most to be the best pound for pound fighter in the world. Calzhage is good, but I dunno if he would be the best pound for pound. Also RJJ has got a set of big ones to go up against a heavyweight champ.

Oh my goodness. What a phenomenal performance by Roy...This guy is phenomenal.. Like honestly what is next for him? .....Lennox???? Like seriously I used to criticize him because I thought he had no heart.. I was waiting for him to hit the canvas at least once in his career to see how he reacts to adversity.. but i don't think it is going to happen. I think bernard would have had a better chance against him than Ruiz did. Lewis vs Jones...omg that would be so sweet if that ever happened.

As for the fight,Jones was poor and Ruiz was terrible. It went pretty much as I expected, apart from the fact that Jones did'nt run like I thought he would. And I think my comment about the referee playing a big part in the fight was spot on,Nady is as bent as a 9 bob note, and should not be allowed to referee a fight again. For those of you who dont know,Roy Jones would'nt sign the contract for this fight until referee Nady had been promised the fight. However although it would have been closer with another less bent referee in charge,I still think Jones would have won.

As for him competing against Lewis,I will assume you are joking on that one.Infact im pretty sure RJJ would laugh too, considering he has already said he would never attept to fight one of the super heavies such as Lewis and the Klitschko's

But I still give props to RJJ for taking the first dangerous fight he has in a long time.

Yeah I think RJJ is looking into retirement. And RJJ is in seriously top form. Ruiz landed a few good punches early on, but then was seriously outclassed badly. Jones mocked Ruiz most of the fight, wanting to get a good battle, but his level of skill was so ridiculous then Ruiz couldn't deal with him.

"As for him competing against Lewis,I will assume you are joking on that one.Infact im pretty sure RJJ would laugh too, considering he has already said he would never attept to fight one of the super heavies such as Lewis and the Klitschko's"

Well, he said that before he made Ruiz his woman, so in reality he might want to actually try to go for a big match against the Klitchsko's or Lewis. Ruiz was the same man who stood up to holyfield, granted past holyfield's prime, but still Ruiz is not a paper champ, or a loser. Its just that RJJ is that damn good.

What fight is that when he went down??? Thanks for showing me that because I really didn't think he has ever been knocked down. You sure it isn't a slip?

Okay I know it is quite unrealistic for him to fig ht one of the superheavyweights but in all reality if he doesn't retire what could he do to further his greatness. Like I bet Bernard would be the biggest challenge and I think Roy could win for sure. But I could honestly see him fighting Lewis and tagging him every so often and not get hit seriously at all.

Jones rocked Ruiz.....and Nady plays by the book......Funny as corrupt as boxing is, judges , refs, promoters, it is ironic when a ref calls it by the book.....he is worthless........
