    Need help getting big

Ok guys I am new here so I did not know where to post this. I need some help. I have tried the eating big to get big and all of that. I have tried the protein everything. Lifting heavy til failure keeping good form and all of that. I am strong for my size but Iam small. I am 5'9" and weigh about 145lbs. I would like to weigh about 160lbs. When I counted calories to get big, i ate clean and healty and ate plenty of protein. I would not put on any weight I would just get some flab on my abs, nothing bad looking just not able to see complete abs. I want to have a thick chest and big arms but everybody says that.

If any body out there has been where I am and has gotten big and ripped hit me up and send me some before and after pics.

    I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    Josh

Try the WBB1 routine. Oh, and I would guess that this would be more suited from the training forum.

So what can I do to over come the obastacles of my genes? Are there some good prohormones out there that are not crazy expensive to take? Thanks for all of the help.

Don't even think about prohormones. You need to learn more about training and diet. You could put on a LOT of weight just by doing things right naturally.

Search around the training and diet forums. They should be your second home for endless days and nights. Read, read, read.

Thanks for the info guys. It is just frustrating. I have kept a good diet. Done all the different types of training and everything I have worked out for a total of about 5yrs with 3 of those yrs being serious and I am just not seeing results like I would like. Thanks for all the info so far. Besides creatine and protein what are some other good supplements to take to help you pack on the muscle. Creatine worked for me at first but it just does not do anything any more for me. I guess I am the 1 out of the 4 that creatine doesn't work for.

Food is the best supplement, but it is not a supplement by defintion. However I think it will put the most size on you crave, that and heavy heavy weight.

maybe a not-so-clean diet will help you a little more
i have the sinking suspicion you were/are missing fats while eating to clean. fats are good for you and they are vital to your health and muscle growth. do some searches.

Perhaps when you bulked, you were bulking with too many more cals, and you started to put on fat and stopped.

Perhaps if you did things a bit slower, and only add a 300-500 more cals per day, and worked out, you'd slowly see an increase in muscle mass.

Because if you were putting on bodyfat, then you definitely were taking in enough calories, so either you didn't give yourself enough time to get a noticeable increase in lean body mass and stopped short, or your training wasn't very good.

And as Raniali said, make sure fat is a big part of your diet. Very anabolic stuff it is...

Hey guys. Thanks for all of the info. I appreciated it very much. It is good to have people to talk to about this type of stuff. So what about other supplements besides creatine and protein. I am on a good multi-vitamin now.

Glutamine maybe, thats about all I would use or recommend...I really think regular food is the best thing overall........

What supplements are you thinking about other than creatine and protien?

I would recommend keeping things simple for now. Protein and creatine are great, and it doesn't require rocket science to use them. Also a good multi is a must, but I don't think you should worry about any other sups.

Your problems aren't something that a sup will fix. They are not a magical pill as I'm sure you know already. The difference they can make can be pretty minimal provided you aren't eating like an etheopian, and will only divert your focus from the important issues that would have the impact you require. I'd just focus on your training, and your caloric intake/macro split.

    Good luck.
