I was curious as to whether or not you guys notice how big you are? What i mean is that I've gotten bigger in the last 3 months of working out, but i don't see it all that much. Other people comment on my size saying that I'm much bigger than I think I am. Is this how it is for a lot of you? Does it keep continueing? When I look at someone at the gym, I'll say that how big I want to be, but I wonder if I'll actually see myself if I was that size. Anyone understand what I mean?

You see yourself all the time, therefor you may not notice the smaller changes, whereas someone who does not see you all the time is not used to the image you are, therefore can make out changes you cannot. In summary, don't worry about it, its perfectly normal.
"42"
Body Dismorphia?
I wouldn't go as far as calling it Body Dismorphia... but ya, you see yourself everyday. You won't notice the small changes you're making...just keep working hard. That's all you can do, right?

Same here, poeple are startin to notice changes in my body and pointing them out. I dont feel I look too much different but I guess people can see that my face has thinned out a bit and comment on it. I would think that if you like the comments, keep workin out.![]()
what are dismorphia and bigorexia?

one more thing...Do you guys think you'll ever be satisfied with achieving a goal you've set or will you want to get bigger once you've gotten there thinking that you're not wher eyou want to be?

i think it's jsut that youa re used to seeing yourself so you don't notice.
tis why it's a good thing to take pictures of yourself every couple months. that wya you have a reference point for change.
kinda rmeinds me of this chick at my gym. she's on a cycle now and it's painfully obvious to the rest of us. she is getting more and more manly each day, but either she doesn't notice or she doesn't care. her bf apparently isn't seeing it either.

he will notice when she pees standing up.
i think i change from day to day, some days i look in the mirror and see the small guy that just started working out, and other days i see a guy thats put in alot of hard work and effort. maybe thats the lsd i pop before working out though

Like everyone else said, you see yourself every day, so small changes you don't even notice. Chances are if you looked back at a picture of three months ago, you'd notice quite a bit of change.. but having stared at the mirror day after day, you won't. (I've made some huge gains.. had a cousin say that I've doubled in size in the two years she hasn't seen me. I don't think I'm that big. Same time, I think my forearms measure what my arms use to.)
Second, chances are you see people in the gym that are bigger then you every time you work out. So, you become the average person. Sure, you might be bigger then this half, same size as this quarter, but then there's those huge mofos with arms the size of your legs, and legs the size of your torso. Gives you a strange perspective on what big is compared to the average. Give you the same thoughts on strength. Your lifts put against the norm of people struggling to open the pickle jar is godly. Your strength against someone that shoulder presses your squat weight makes you weak.
And after all that talking, chances are you'll never achieve your perfection. Hell, chances are you are last years perfection, and a year from now you'll be this years perfection, but by then you'll want more. It's what makes it fun.
