    Keto food questions

Can anyone tell me exactly what vegetables can be eaten while in ketosis?

I checked out some info on lettuce, celery, and broccoli, and my source says all of them have carbs. What’s the deal?

Although I know the labels say the vegetables contain carbs but you have to look at the label differently in terms of a ketogenic diet. You are only interested in the "active carbs", and to come up with this total you just subtract the amount of fiber from the total carbohydrate content. For example, if the food contains 8g of carbs but 5g of fiber then you would only count 3g of carbs towards your daily total.

So fibrous veggies like the ones you mentioned would be fine since they have minimal "active carbs." Could also try mushrooms, turnips greens, cabbage, spinach, brussell sprouts, cauliflower, eggplant, onions, zucchini, asparagus, sqash, etc. Pretty much any green fibrous vegetable.

yes, becuase your body cant digest fiber (at least i believe that is why)

Just try not to have big servings of vegetables. That might kick you out of keto
