These were going to be before and after progress pics, but there's barely any noticable difference![]()
This is me 8 weeks ago
And this is me today
Note the lack of ab hair, I hoped it might help bring out some definition, so much for that idea![]()
Stats are 130 @ 5' 5"
Been lifting quite badly for about a year now, only recently started doing things properly. These 8 weeks were spent 4 weeks of bulking (my first bulk) and 4 weeks of cutting. Net gain in weight was 3 lbs![]()
Comments, questions, scathing critiques, bring it on
Edit: anyone fancy guesstimating my bodyfat % ?

Your weight is what I was at for most of my adult life. If I were you, I would bulk for a long time?
Keep at it![]()

Was on WBB #1 for these 8 weeks, gotten bored of that so I'm going to come up with something new but havent quite decided yet. Obviously some bulking is on the agenda but I am wary of getting "fat" over summer.
Diet could be where I am letting myself down. I'm fairly sure I eat all the right stuff - I'm vegetarian so that includes stuff like ww bread and natty pb, lots of soy meat replacement, quorn etc. I get my fat from olive oil wherever possible. 5 or 6 meals a day. I supplement with flax oil and a multivit. The part where I'm letting myself down is I don't really track everything. I'm certainly capable of doing so - when I first got interested in transforming my body I was 145 lbs and about 20% body fat and I got rid of it by dieting (and cardio) and keeping track of all my calories. Right now tho I just kinda wing it, when I was bulking if I was hungry I wouldnt worry about eating, when I was cutting I'd put it off and eat smaller portion sizes and fill myself up on veggies. I think this is going to have to change tho as I want to do a slow controlled bulk and minimise the amount of fat I gain.
Adequate protein intake is very difficult if you're a vegetarian. Good luck and don't give up.

To me you look like you lost some noticable LBM, a few pounds. I say bulk up u dont look too shabby, just add some more LBM
Life isn't like Burger King, you can't always have it your way.
Now that you mention it I see what you mean, but I'm fairly sure thats just down to me sucking at posing. I certainly haven't lost any strength and I did gain weight - according to my tanita scale (which I don't really trust) some fat, some lbm
When I saw your pic I thought man those are some damn decent guns for 8 weeks and 130lbs.
Keep at it man.
Your legs look pretty good. Of course anybody who is our height can do three squats and have 26 inch legs. Tee hee.

But you're not missing much
It might sound like a lot of protein powder, but its only a single scoop a time, and thats 15g of protein for my particular brand. Don't think I've ever had cottage cheeseI tend to avoid dairy though. I also don't have any problem meeting 1g of protein/lb of body weight
