Ok all of you High School and College kids out there. In a couple of different threads out there this week, there have been discussions regarding definitions on slang terms. Seeing as Websters is bringing out an new dictionary I figured I see how outdated my slang was.
So here are some terms that were used in my HS and college days.
Preens - Girls (or guys) who were all about appearance
A "Heather" - evil Female (from the movie Heathers)
Burnt - someone who had killed way too many brain cells
Dweebs - wannabe's not to be confused with geeks, dorks, or nerds (check out HomeYields journal for definitions)
Point - as in "what's your point"
Buffed - good looking guy - not necessarly muscular.
That's all I can think of - add some more or how meanings have changed.
Three people can keep a secret so long as two of them are dead
- Benjamin Franklin
Wheres your word for hotties???? HMMMM
Here's some from my HS days in AUSTRALIA:
Mad - Meaning good, soon replaced with cool.
Slaw - Any unnatractive girl who thinks she's sexy and shows too much skin.
Fat slaw - An insult for male friends when they stole a piece of
your twix.
Whorebag: Often used in reference to teachers but also used to insult male friends.
Babe - Term used for pretty girls generally regarded as of the highest calibre, ie anyone someone from our group went out with.
Gronks - Like dweebs only australian. (My dad uses the word dweeb)
The Cage - The enclosed area away from the gronks we used to sit.
Cagies: us.
Knob: Insult for any male other than someone in our group, usually semi- serious and sometimes leading to stacks on.
Stacks on - When someone gets pushed over, there might be a call of "STACKS ON!!!!" and all cool males within the surrounding area must then run and jump on top of the person on the floor, one on top of the other. Usually reserved for outside.
Theres heaps more but that will do for now.
lol I've only heard of two of these that herc is talking aboutOriginally posted by Herc

R.I.P Devie
Fag - Surprisingly enough, most of the time it's not used as a homosexual insult. Most people use it like it means you're not cool. (if anyone feels this one inappropriate, lemme know and I'll take it out. Although I don't see why someone would.) This pretty much means your uncreative...
Mad - meaning "really". But you don't just say "mad" to someone... it is always followed by 'cool,' 'hot,' 'cold,' etc.
Word - Yes; I agree.
Doggie Fizzle - Snoop Dogg's TV show.
For real? - Are you serious?
sweet- good
(something) Owns- That is the best
(something) Rocks- That is the best
Huzzah - Stupid Beer commercials that were humorous, but you old people knew that one, right?
Yo - Hi or addressing someone. If I said "Yo" as the first thing in a coversation it would mean hi. However if I said "Hahaha, that's hot***(check below for definition) yo." That means they are addressing someone as yo.
Hot - good... I use it to describe a very good looking female. Females use it to point out a good looking guy.
Merc - I don't use this one, but some people I know do, so let's throw it in... It means to leave...

I’ve got scars and blood and vomit."

"fo shizzle my nizzle?" - what's up?
My profile picture is about 5 years old, I'll get around to taking some progress pics eventually.
Do not mock stacks on. if you cant handle it, then you cant handle australia. Stacks on is what makes our country what it is.
Maybe your friends are all too insecure about their sexuality to assault nerds at your school.
Nice thread, herc...
