Should carbs be eaten sparingly in a cutting diet ? I've been getting 160g/day lately and I take them in my morning meals. I take quite a bit of fat to make up for the calories. What is a proven carbs/fat/protein ratio when cutting?

I don't think there are any proven ratios, experiment and try, but the overall intake is the most important thing to consider.
My profile picture is about 5 years old, I'll get around to taking some progress pics eventually.
I've been ranging about 40/20/40 (p/c/f) mostly. I'll do a refeed every so often to help out the leptin levels and replenish glycogen stores. Not really trying to get into ketosis just that I like eating lots of meat.![]()

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.
IMO the ratios are really not that important, assuming that you are taking in adequate protein and EFAs. Usually carbs are lower because that is the easiest way to cut cals.Originally posted by Sinep
