    Kobe charged for sexual assault.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2003/0718/1582691.html

so it's in, he's admitted to having intercourse with the victim, this case seems to be getting a little more interesting, I wander how he "raped" her when he had a bad knee and all...
My profile picture is about 5 years old, I'll get around to taking some progress pics eventually.

I was watching some program like 20/20 last night and they had the details of it. The girl got off of her shift, and then went to Kobe's bedroom. She came out a while later and looked "visibly upset." It's quite obvious that she wanted him 'cause she went to his room.

She was probably just upset 'cause he told her to **** off after he got the BJ.

Probably more than just a BJ if he had "intercourse" with her.

As of now it's really hard to tell what exactly happened. Some sources say it was consensual sex, others say he forced her.
"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

Yep. They should throw the ****er in jail for however many years adultry and possible sexual assult (if indeed it did happen) would get your average Joe off the street.

Society needs a wake up call so what better way to show that our judicial system actually has some responsibility than to bring down one of our largest celebrity icons.

The other sad part is the nieve little 19 year old wife of his. She was literally taken out of the arms of her parents, became worth 9 figures with her husband, and after he cheats on her she 'stands by his side' because she doesn't realize how sever something like this could be. I'm 21 but I am fully aware of just how young and immature 18-19 year olds are. I applaud Kobe's parents for keeping him out of their life when he married the 18 year old.

This of course is assuming he is indeed guilty and it's not some girl who is trying to take advantage of Kobe's millions.

LOL GIS.... Just because he is a celeb doesn't make him "special". Don't hate on him because he is famous... He should be treated like any other citizen (which in our never really happens). The courts should not make an example out of him any more then they should make out of you.

Dammit how can you guys not understand that he's innocent? I was watching the report on it last night and the girl got off her shift and then went to his room. Now don't tell me an attractive 19 year old would willingly go to a basketball star's room like kobe bryant and not want to fool around.

She went there on her own account.

Still doesn't make him not a bastard for cheating though

    well....to play devil's advocate....

maybe (as most cheating people do)...Kobe used clever lines to this girl to make her feel special, then when she realized she was just a piece of meat, she got a little upset, and by this time(back in the room), Kobe wasn't going to take NO for an answer.

dont say we cant say he is guilty just because you "know" he is innocent.

WTF are you talking about!? He's already admited to having cheated on his wife! That alone is rediculous and unacceptible not to mention illegal.

Are you saying celebrities and athelets never get 'favors' by the justice system? It's a well known fact that those who are in the public eye tend to receive far less of a punishment than the average Joe. That is what I am reffering to. It's time we find a judge who is willing to take the public criticizm and put a guilty athelete in his or her place. It happens at the professional levels and at the collegiate level. We are always having football players committing serious crimes and they get slapped on the wrist and get MAYBE probation. One was the new Seahawks TE Jeromy Stevens. He played football at my school and during my sophomore year he drove his car into the side of a retirement home drunk... and got probation because the school essentially bailed him out.

When I say convict Kobe's ass it's under the scenario that he's guilty. I don't know any better than who whether he's guilty or not, but regardless I have lost all respect for him after committing adultry- something he has already admitted to.

Cheating on wife doesn't = to jail time or sexual assault.

Look, why would she go in his room in the first place after her shift? Because he's a "oh so hot" NBA superstar and she wanted a piece.

I could be wrong and maybe she just wanted to see him but she could have talked to him anywhere but the room. It's quite obvious what the guy wants when he invites a girl up to his room and as a 19 year old female, she damn well knows what he wants as well. Just think how "cool" it would be if she fooled with "such a hot NBA star."

However, like webb said, maybe she backed out last minute or whatever, but I *highly* doubt it.

If a celebrity like let's say Alyssa Milano invites me to her room after my shift, I would damn well assume that she wants a piece and when I get in there, I'm not gonna bust out an hour later crying because I just realized that all I was was a piece of meat to her.

i agree with ya eric, im just trying to throw out both sides of this since no facts are really out there yet.

sure none of us know what kinda guy kobe is off the court, but we also have no clue what this girl is like, she may be a lunatic, she may be legitimate....it will be interesting to follow either way.

She should leave Kobe, take that money, and marry me. She's hot. Cheating on your wife is bad, cheating on a hot wife is... inexplicable tuttut

Did you guys see their statement on the news? I can't believe she was holding his hand and looking all close to him. I would snap and be so disgusted if my wife ever cheated on me.

In her mind she's probably holding on to the millions.. not his hand

Also although I agree with you GIS; there is a reason that celebrities and those in the public eye get less of a punishement...just the bad exposure they receive is a harsher punishement than the average joe already since they make their money off of people's opinion of them and their case gets WAY more coverage than say if it was a regular joe that raped that girl; the judge usually takes that punishement in consideration when delivering a sentence.

LOL! If you read my post again I did say that celebs get favourable treatement in the legal system. But my point that you fail to realize is that if you go to the opposite extreme (making an example of someone just because he is a celeb) is just as bad as favouring them. Just because Kobe is a star shouldn't garner him special treatment (ANY kind of special treatment good or bad). So in that sense you contradict yourself.
