As far as the content advisor password, I'm not sure since I've never messed with those.

When you are talking about the other one, do mean a BIOS password or a windows password?

You gonna have to explain what a content advisor is??? since I have never heard of that. And explain the second part in detail, you mean the windows security password, when you boot up????

I believe you can reset the windows password by tripping the switch on the back of your power supply. Say you forgot your password and can't log on. I've never had to do this myself. Although if this is true, then anybody could trip the switch and then get into your computer. Sounds a bit hokey now that I think about it.

Stand there for a few minutes, then pace back and forth a lot, huff and puff, wait until everybody's looking. Approach the bar. Back off. Approach it again. Back off. Get some water. Chalk up. Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. Jump up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY". Then give high fives all around. - Belial

The content advisor allows tyou to block websites of your choice and also alowwes you to control what you are allowed to open it is like a rating s blocker you can't open anything above a pg-13 rating or anything that you chose.
The second one is the password that you need to type in when you turn your cp on to alow you to get to your desk top.

    we need more details

if the advisor thing is an app remove it an re-install

if it's part of IE or an app that extends ie re-install both

if the password is a BIOS password there is a jumper on the main board that can be changed/removed

if the password is in windows (ouch)

Content Advisor is part of IE. For those of you who are confused go to Tools/Internet Options/Content/ Content Advisor.

If you dont know the password I am guessing you did not place it. If the PC you are using is part of a network then your admin may have set it. I don't think the password is saved localy so you may not be able to crack it. I will see what I can find for you.

When the Win98 password box appears on the desktop you can close it by clicking on the X in the upper right-hand corner. Win9x has very poor security features that my daughter can defeat. Win NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server are a completely different animal.

No offense guys but when it comes to PC you seem to be lacking in knowledge. I am surprised nobody suggested he reformat, reinstall and even powercycle his modem. hehehhe
