How man of you have scars?

i mean bad scars as in from operations on broken bones or torn muscle tissue... does it affect your lifting? i have 3 major scars on my forearm from where i had a compound fracture, it required metal plates and pins (they have been taken out now) i use to have a problem strecthing but its healed up pretty well, every so often i get a shearing pain shoot up my forearms (left and right) after completing some barbell curls but that is common in most people...i also get this disgusting lump that appears around the scar when my forearms are pumped but it doesnt hurt so i guess its all good

Sounds painful man, fortunately ive never had any nasty scars, just one around the adductor longus area. When i was about 11 i was playing soccer and this guy who was playing with us (about mid 30's) got frustrated with me and shoved me into a tree stump!

I still have nightmare's about it and the visible scare doesnt help, what did help was my couzin giving him a severe beating

One on my forehead from headbutt to concrete step.

Multiple on hands (tendons sliced) from punching crystal vase.

One on palm of hand from knife

One on knee from Muay Thai

None, mess with my lifting. However, I used to be unbeatbale playing knuckles and now it hurst after a few punches.

I had surgery on my wrist to have a cyst removed. There's a nasty scar.

The worst part is that I hear bone clicking together when I do close grip bench or DB extensions and it's kinda painful.

I have scars that will put you all to shame.

I don't have a belly button anymore due to all the mid-line incisions I've had (somewhere around five or six, can't remember).

I have this wicked scar on my belly that looks like a .50cal bullet blasted through me.

I have so many smaller scars I can't count.

But my coolest scar is right above my groin. There is a BIG area that is recessed and discolored. It is about the size of a fist. I had all of the flesh removed there due to horrendous infection.

I LOVE my scars. They make me who I am.

I just wish I had some hardcore ones on my face.

I have a relatively small scar on left hand when my soldering iron fell on it.
Tons of scars on my knees from youth, playing soccer, and rock climbing. Had a real wierd roller blading accident as well a few years back.

I have a very small from accidentally breaking off the corner of a coffee table with my left temple. A little round pink one on my right middle knuckle from punching lockers, one of the underside of my left middle finger from broken glass on a parking lot, and one on my left forearm from the underside of a sheet of baked potatoes that had just come out of the oven.

Not very impressive, but I'm pretty glad I don't have one of those anime scars on my face.

Still got problems, but trying to live life around them, ye know?

I just want more cool scars. Some on my face would be wicked. I want one going from 1/2 way between by eye and ear down to my chin. DAMN that would be cool.

I have 2 scars on my forehead. They are fairly healed now so they are only noticable if you concentrate on the area.

I have a 2 and a bit inch scar across my thumb/hand also, which looks ace.

    I've got a few scars.
I've got one on my foot from when I was a kid. I was sliding down a slide into a pool and my foot got stuck in a railing. It went in between my toes and ripped into my foot, it's not that bad. I've got several on my head, but the hair covers them, although my scull has got a dip in it from being hit with a rock.
There are thwo more, one on my nose from an iguana bite and another below the eyebrow from smashing into the barrier at a hockey game.
I've got quite a few on my left hand though.
I've got some on my fingers from busting a window.
The tip of my index finger is missing from chopping it off with a saw.
Also, I have nasty 3" scar going across the top of my hand towards the wrist. When I was working contruction, installing heating duct, a piece of razor sharp duct fell off the celling and almost cut my hand off. I lost some of the use, but with months of PT I regained most of it. Because, it partially cut through the tendon I have a hard time doing any of lateral raises. Db curls and close grip bench press are difficult as well.
I also cut the very tip of another finger on my left hand. I was working in a restaurant, chopping watermelon while someone called my name, ouch.
On my right hand, the pinky finger has been almost bitten off by a dog.
I will have a few scars on my right knee, since I'll be going it for knee surgery in a couple of months to replace the torn ACL.
Damn, if I keep going like this I'll have scars everywhere when I get old.

This is my left hand, you can't clearly make out all scars, but I circled them. I also burned the right side of my face with engine coolant while fixing my old car. Strangely, those scars faded away completly. I am not complaining.

Here is a list of the scars I got stitches for (there are far too many small scars I didn't get stitches for to list here):

    1. Crescent moon shaped scar beside my right eye from falling and hitting my head on the windowsill when I was 4 years old... DOH!

    2. Small scar under my chin from hitting the ground in martial arts during a takedown.

    3. Small scar on my upper forehead (hidden by hair) from getting hit (accidentally) with a golf club by my cousin when I was younger. I was standing right behind him and he got me on the backswing

    4. Scar on the top of my head (hidden by hair) from getting hit (accidentally) with a hockey stick during a game of street hockey a few years ago. The guy tripped and axed his stick down onto my head.

    5. Scar on my wrist from accidentally putting my fist through a glass window while playing a game with my sister when I was younger.
