    In love with the pump

    I haven't been working out for that long, like 3 months now maybe but I never really knew what this 'pump' was everybody was talking about. And the first 2 months when I did a full body workout every other day I never really got a good pump. However, since I started following WBB1 5 weeks ago I'm in love with the pump I get every time. Especially on back/chest day and tri/bi/shoulder day I feel like ****ing superman. Too bad it only lasts for like 10 mins max. Now I understand what Arnold was saying that he was cumming all the time in the gym when he got a pump.

    Anyway, which pump do you like best?

    Chest. With a chest workout my chest, tris, shoulders and back are all pumped and rock hard. Feels great.

    Arnold also used steroids that helped him keep the pump longer and give him a more intense pump, He must have had a totally wicked pump.

    My penis pump is pretty decent too. I do like 3 sets of 50+ reps, three times a week.

    So like, 2 days ago I was doing my shoulder/bi/tri day in the gym, and my sister comes to see me, since she missed her spinning class (she only does cardio anyways) she wanted to follow the same scheme I was working on for the day. Then when I finished my shoulders I showed her my shoulders all pumped up and she was like, omg, how the f*** is that possible..

    This seems like more of a general chat thread.

    I hate pumps. When I get a full pump, I can't even wash my own ass in the shower without extreme discomfort. Good thing the pump is meaningless.

    Not being able to get the pump is a sign of overtraining actually, so it's not totally meaningless. I love the pump also, had a good one in my forearms the other day, felt like the muscle was gonna rip open my skin, crazy feeling.

    Ok..back to the topic at hand. Butt and leg pump is cool. Next is chest. Last on my list is arm pump.

    The excercise where you lie on the bench, and pull up weights with your feet (butt muscles or something) gives me this horribly awesome feeling, exactly like being on ecstacy.. Where you know its wrong to feel that good!!!


    I used to get the same thing with knee-press, i used to do 60 reps at 70 kilos and when they failed it was like uuuuuuhhhhh

    Pervy!!!!! Yay!!!!!

    I think its cool to get a pump, when it happens. But I don't think it's neccessary.

    It's very hard to remove your t-shirt when you're all sweaty and pumped and that you just trained your triceps.

    I've never really felt a pump in my legs or shoulders. Solely a burn. I do not get a pump in the sphincter either.

    Well, I can say from experience when I am in a more anabolic state I definitely experience greater pumps. I also find that I get better pumps when I am more rested, hence I must agree with the idea that overtraining at least somewhat precludes the pump.

    I get phenomenal pumps with my depletion workouts. I can barely take off my shirt. I'm eating 1200 calories on those days and can not correlate that to anabolism. The proper correlation is high volume + muscles still somewhat filled with glycogen. Once the muscle is depleted (perhaps overtraining could relate), pumps are next to impossible to achieve or retain for any period longer than a minute.
