    is it genetics or what

    i spotted a guy benching yesterday at 275 he did 6 reps, and he is huge, id say around well i dunno but bigger than me, id say age prob 20.. and iv done 275 3 times and not quite as bulk as he is, and this mofo has the pack and all, and im thinkin wtf. i take in 200g of protein+ a day for the past few months cals are up in the 2500 r ange. so im thinking is my genetics strenth over mass? i just dont get the lifting world

    A lot of lifting is genetics. Experience comes into play as well.

    He might have been lifting for a much longer time than you have been.

    As a side note, 2500 cals/day @ 201 lbs of bodyweight isn't necessarily a whole lot. Are you trying to gain mass?

    well im trying to gain as much muscle mass as possible with the lowest fat gain possible, since treadmill= enemy and mostly anything cardio

    lol we are who we are...sometimes i have the apetite of a small mouse, and when i dont- i burn through food so quickly its hard to put weight on.. You should be thankful for what ya got

    I would say either great genetics but more likely drugs. It could be natural but .... those are far and very few between. Look at the all natural bodybuilders or much older bodybuilders, which would be some of most genetically gifted, and compare. They are in general not that big (where big = Arnold).

    I would use that guy to get pissed off enough to work out like mad. That seems to help me overcome mental blocks which I think hinder me much worse than genetics.
