    diet shakes

I was a bit bored with my current protein shake, so I reckoned I'd see what them diet shakes were like. They taste damn good, and are packed with protein. The ingredients say they contain a lot of somthing called inulin. Does anyone know what this is, and is it any good for body builders?

There was a thread on this over at Avant

From what I take, it's a slightly sweet soluble fiber that has some benefits for the digestive tract.

Inulin can be purchased seperately for a few dollars a pound, which would be cheaper than buying pre-mixed protien shakes.
