    Posting again finally, need advice

Hey guys I'm the 6'1", 140 lb, 17 year old guy who posted the article GAINING MASS about 4 months ago, now 18, and i'm still 140, but my fault. Anyways i stopped lifting when christmas break started, and i havent lifted since, and up until then i prolly only missed like 1 or 2 days ever in a row since february of 03.. So it has been a year since i started to work out, nevertheless i stopped working out, so its been almost 2 months now. Here is my problem: I have no one to spot me, so i never pushed myself beyond my max's in anything to gain in exercises. I gained about 2 pounds by eating like a bastard, about 5000 cals a day, drinking protein and crap. I gained those 2 pounds in 1 week. GOD, if i had kept that up i would weigh about 160 now. Anyhow, I didnt, and i dont want to go to a gym, cuz i dont want the inconvenience of going there. Should i buy a machine for my house (i know i have free weights, and they are they best, but i have no spotter, gotta work with what i have) or should i go to a gym, even though i dont want to. I got accepted to Florida State University, where i will be going in the fall, and i dont want to come in as a 140 lb 6'1'' guy. Even though I am cut (but fading over these 2 months) i have no mass lol. What should i do? honest advice would be greatly appreciated.

you don't wanna go to the gym cuz you have no partner to spot you?? i go by myself and dont need any spots UNLESS i ask for them. that shouldn't be an excuse NOT to workout. don't get me wrong, it IS nice having someone there to help motivate you w/ your lifts, but not necessary!

Look Doctorcod, this is really a simple matter which posting here will not rectify. You have essentially told us that you are not sufficiently motivated.

The only way you will ever make meaningful change to your body is if YOU are internally motivated. You will have to decide that you are tired of being a stick and that YOU want to weigh more. You may never reach this point and may be content to be as you are. I have no problem with this, it takes all kinds to make up this world. I have no problem with somone who is too thin or fat. I don't judge people by their physiques (relative to their worth etc.).

If you ever do reach the point where your desire to change outweighs your dislike of the gym, then you already know what to do.

150 for six months??? Not bad, not bad at all.
Yeah, like these guys are saying, YOU have to be motivated. I have a lot of friends who say "yeah, I want to start hitting the gym with you, blah blah blah, while they shove their mouth with cheetos. And I will go out of my way to help them if they want it. But it comes down to YOU wanting to do it.

As for motivation, I use a couple of different things. One, that may seem dumb, but I am so against domestic types of violence. I saw a guy, hit a girl, ONCE, and I assure you, he will never do it again. I think about that moment when I am lifting and feel like I'm burning out. I dunno why, but thinking of that moment gets me so enraged. I do it for the pure want to take down whatever is in front of me.
