If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.
With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.
With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.
But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of Beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling price, you would have $214.00.
Based on the above, current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
It's called the 401-Keg Plan.
sucked even harder if you worked for one of those companies. i've actually got 2 on my list. *lol*
i like the 401-keg plan.

Dude, did Doogie Howser just steal my fucking car?
If you purchased Nortel (NT) last year it would have cost you $2.13.
Today its going for $5.96, so that $1000 is now worth $2798
ENE and WCOME are invalid ticker symbols and have been for some time.

the only reason I knew that is because I got forwarded this about a month back and I forwarded it on to a few friends and I got slammed for passing on such BS.
my friends lambasted me for the inaccuracies and went into MUCH greater detail about the true figures on how much the beer cans would be worth
key point to their argument was that the numbers were true at one time...but that was about 2 years ago.
(sorry I've had an itch to use the word lambasted for quite some time now!)
if you're going to baste lamb, I recommend a mint-based sauce with a rosemary infusionOriginally Posted by geoffgarcia
