When you open a new jar of natty, there is usually a skim of liquid on the top. What do you do - pour it out, or stir it in?
STIR, then throw that bad boy in the fridge.

yeah, that is the whole point of peanut butter.
I eat PB when im craving something sweet....not to get fat from it... so I get rid of the oil on top..
plus I dont like oily stuff anyways, so :shrug
Yeah, stir that in son.

How are you accurately going to determine the calorie content and macro breakdown if you pour it out?
I use accurately in the loosest sense of the word![]()

I have never seen liquid at the top of my peanut butter jar - I'm pretty sure its natural peanut butter though, peanuts and palm oil are the only ingredients.
If you're being really strict about things then the ingredients will be "peanuts" only. If I'm not mistaken the palm oil is used as some kind of stabaliser to prevent the liquid seperation that occurs in natty pb so that the general public won't go "ewww what's this crap?"
Dip your finger in and give it a stir and lick it clean.
Why throw it away? It tastes just like the rest of the stuff in the jar.

Tropical oils are loaded in saturated fats though. You would be better off without the palm oil.Originally Posted by Exnor

I am not lazy. I don't see a good reason to do it. I figure my day varies enough that it is to hard to predict calorie needs. I eat sensibly.
Reduces calories and fat. However, that oil doesn't clog your arteries. It's good for you. Also, I don't consider it natty if it has salt and sugar. To me, true natty is just the peanuts and oil.Originally Posted by fierce

I heat it to a slight boil and pour it all over my chest. You could just stir it in though.
