Just finished reading the GPP, or as us old timers call it, fitness, article at t-mag:

I like the plate load idea. I've always thought that moving all of the plates from one weight tree to another would be great exercise.
I'm also of the opinion that many weightlifters don't do enough GPP, and as a result, are often quickly exhausted and in particular aren't very good at bodyweight exercises.
Besides playing sports or doing martial arts, which I think are probably the most fun method of GPP, what routines have you tried?
I've tried a number of things in sort bursts, but always end up going back to manipulating rest periods in my lifting, and doing cardio.
Squats work better than supplements.
"You know, if I thought like that, I'd never put more than one plate on the bar for anything, I'd never use bands or chains, I'd never squat to parallel or below, and I'd never let out the slightest grunt when I lift. At some point in your lifting career (assuming you're planning on getting reasonably strong and big), you're going to have to accept that most people think you are some kind of freak." -Sensei
"You're wrong, and I have a completely irrelevant pubmed abstract that may or may not say so." - Belial
