There is a man who is bulking. He works out Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Wednesday through Sunday he consumes say 3600 calories per day. On Monday and Tuesday he only eats 3100 calories per day. His logic is, he's not exercising (burning calories) those days nor is his body recuperating at the same level it is immediately after a workout.
Question: Is this man a moron? Or a genius?

On my off days (saturday and sunday) I drop calories by 25%
Recovery and weight gain/cutting (whichever it may be) has been fine so far.
