Anyone listen to new age around here? It's similar to classical, but with more action. It's great to put on in the backround while reading a book or just relaxing.
My favorites are Yanni and Mehdi. Those are basicly the only 2 groups I'm familiar with. Anyone have recommendations?

As far as quotable material goes, that probably tops everything in any profile on the board. When you say classical, I'm going to assume that you mean "smooth jazz", which is an abomination of the 20th century's greatest acheivment. Just giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you've never heard what most people would call classical (though the classical period has been over nigh 200 years and modern and romantic composers don't qualify they're usually lumped in), I suggest you check out some Stravinsky if you want energetic. But then again, why would you want energetic music while you were relaxing or reading in the first place? Some nice modern ambient like ash ral tempel or bark psychosis(<3) seems ideal to me.Originally Posted by dsuh
