Woke this morning looked in the mirror and my right colla bone is swollen,,, why could this be? its about the lengh of my middle finger and its swollen enough for me to notice where it is when i stand in front of a mirror...
also it only hurts a tiny weeny bit when i do a shoulder pressing type movement... any ideas on what it is???
i've been icing it to help the swelling go down.. but im juz curious what it is ... or if any1 else has had the same sorta bump

What color is it ? It might be oedema due to compression of the tissue above the bone, I really havent heard of an instant osteitis, it takes weeks to get an inflamed bone.
Nothing to worry about.
same colour as me lol white ... should i be icing it then cause thats what im doing ,,,,
will it hurt to train? Cause it doesnt hurt me its just swollen... im training on monday..
Well usually odema is due to extravasation of blood or fluid from a vessel in the injured area. Color though may vary since blood in such an area goes through several changes if its a contusion. Give it time and see if it'll change color, I dont think theres anything wrong with you training since it doesnt hurt but it wouldnt hurt to wait an extra day or 2 and see what happens. Icing is fine since you cause vasoconstriction of the vessels in that area and will stop the inflammation.
