Everyone knows that alcohol makes you have to goto the bathroom quite often. My question is can you take an anti-diuretic to counter the diuretic effects of alcohol? I would think that this may help with dehydration because you would be retaining a lot more water. The only concern I could see is that you wouldn't excrete any alcohol through your unire although I'm not really sure how much, if any, is actually excreted in urine. I know the break down product of alcohol is excreted but is alcohol itself?
What does everyone think of this?
*NOTE: I wasn't planning on trying this, just curious.
its not the alcohol that makes you go to the bathroom, its the quantity of liquid.
if you have ten 12oz bottles of soda your gonna spend as much time pissing as if you have the ten 12oz bottles of beer.
and if you have 10 shots you probably wont even need to go to the bathroom...
Actually, alcohol blocks vasopressin from regulating the osmotic gradinet of the blood, so the alcohol content is an issue.Originally Posted by geoffgarcia

Alcohol DOES dehydrate you.
I wouldn't do it. The solution: don't drink so much alcohol. It's pretty simple.

While the alochol obviously has an impact, its ur bladder more than anything that makes you need to go.

Wrong. Alcohol and caffeine are diuretics. Water is not.Originally Posted by geoffgarcia
Case in point: if it's not the alcohol then why after a night of a 12 pack of beer you could wake up and drink two gallons of water the next morning because of your dry mouth. If you drank a 12 pack of water the night before (instead of beer) do you think you'd wake up feeling the same? Obviously not.

I know you're half-crazy, but I wish you'd go all the way.
