Hey Everybody, welcome to the 80s movie music download post.

This is going to be a post, wich people can post, their 80s movie music tips!

I just love 80s movie music, its so feel good, its makes me feel allright, you know it gives me mojo, and I need my mojo.

    So far I got

Revenge of the nerds - Takashi`s song ( this song is so damn cute, drunk japanese song )
Scarface - Amy Holland - She`s on fire
    Top Gun - Danger Zone
All the conan music, wich is beautiful beoynd belief by the way
    KickBoxer soundtrack

But I know there is tons, tons, tons more, I just cant remember wich one I love so good, I was only a little mini bodybuilder in the 80s.

Give me cheesy music tips! give me the cheese!

    Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr.
If You Leave - OMD (Pretty in Pink)
Pretty in Pink - Psychedelic Furs (Pretty in Pink)
    Chariots of Fire - Vangelis
Highlander Soundtrack, aka A Kind of Magic - Queen
Jungle Love - Morris Day and the Time (Purple Rain)
(Goonies Are) Good Enough - Cyndi Lauper
    La Bamba - Los Lobos
St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion) - John Parr
Axel F - Harold Faltermeyer (Beverly Hills Cop)
    Blues Brothers Soundtrack
Cocktail Soundtrack (Kokomo by the Beach Boys, among others)
    Crossroads Soundtrack (pickin' an grinnin')
    Dirty Dancing Soundtrack
    Flashdance
Indiana Jones theme song (all 3 movies were from the 80s)
Lost Boys soundtrack (the whole soundtrack is very 80s and very cool, esp CryLittle Sister)
Princess Bride Soundtrack (you want the Storybook Love by Willy de Villesong at least, but the whole movie was scored by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and it's not bad mood music)
Pump up the Volume (most music is from the 80s, though the movie was 1990 I think. I particularly liked Kick out the Jams on this one)
This is Spinal Tap (made in 80s, though music has 70s sound)
When Harry Met Sally (mostly Harry Connick Jr but good stuff)

You could also look at the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City soundtracks...

    that oughta keep you busy

and the reason 80s music seems to have such energy is twofold:

    1) in the era of new wave and the first real big emergence of synthesizers, which greatly influenced the sound.

    2) it was a reflection of the culture of the 80s. Cocaine-fueled, lots of the entertainment industry was about happier, bigger, louder, faster. The movies tended to get by on flash and glitz, the fashion was bright, big and stupid, and all this came out in the music as well. Could also be partly a reaction to the 70s, with the dregs of disco going mainstream and the punk scene morphing into new wave, etc....
