Ok to start off, im 15, about 5'9 or 10 and 137ish. lanky mofo.
I've been doin the WWB routine for about 3 weeks now, and I already see small gains.
I have been tryint to lift hard and to my ful potential, however I have been plagued with lower back pain for the last week, just when i do a hard excercise.
First it was deadlifts, and today I got a sharp pain in my lower back from doing Barbell curls.
Any tips on how to stop this? I really dont want to injure my lower back.
Also, how can I maximize my gains? I do not count carbs right now, as I am very busy right now as it is to even get my workouts in, but I have really increased my healthy food intake when i started lifting. I also suppliment rice protein in milk after every workout.

For the back pain, next workout make sure your really hydrated(bring a liter bottle with you filled with water and drink at least that during the workout)
For maximising gains, eat everything that your mom buys on the grocery order then everything you can affordJust eat a ton
Supplement wise just stick with a protein supp.

i used to get back pain when doing curls also but i think thats cause i never worked my lower back properly so it wasn't strong enough to support my curling weight, usually deadlifts sort the problem to build a stronger lower back but if it hurts when u do them then ease up, after i have worked out i usually find the muscles ache could this be what you mean or is actually a stinging pain or what ?
yeh eat everything you can only way to get big IMO
Very good advice here. I've had trouble with lower back pain for years due to sports. I also neglected lower back exercises. Once I started deadlifting and doing hyperextensions, the pain went away.Originally Posted by Monkey

Stand there for a few minutes, then pace back and forth a lot, huff and puff, wait until everybody's looking. Approach the bar. Back off. Approach it again. Back off. Get some water. Chalk up. Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. Jump up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY". Then give high fives all around. - Belial
Rest, ease up on the weight, WARM UP! You'll heal before long. You're right , you don't want to injure your lower back. We all 'tweak' it from time to time & a lot of times don't even know how we did it. Diss it off & you sure won't be a monster lifting at 20. Don't forget that pain once it goes away; remind yourself starting back reps/sets that you're going to go slow & strict & avoid pulling your lower back.
I would say you should rest it for awhile. Taking a few days off isn't going to make you lose too many of your gains.
