Maurice Clarett was at the athletic club today. he didn't work out with weights...just went to swim i think. but it's funny....for one, that that guy is still around in a town where nobody can possibly like him. and for another, that no one said a word to him. just got a lot of stares and whatnot. nobody wanted to talk to him b/c of the way he treated the program at Ohio State. hope i don't get the opportunity to tell him what i think if i see him there again.
bodybuilding is not a hobby for me. it's about a doctor saying i'll never walk again, and proving him wrong by conquering the physical world. it's more than a stress reliever; it is an answer to my critics who say i can't do it. it's more than a tool of physique; it's a tool of worship. it's more than a sport; it is who i am.

He really messed up. Why can't athletes be patient, stay out of trouble, work hard, and wait on the big bucks instead of doing stupid stuff, then accusing the program of wrongdoing?
While we're sort-of on the subject of Columbus..
I saw Paul McCartney at Schottenstein Center a couple years ago, and I have to say that the athletic complex there is first rate. The parking was breeze, the facilities are all nice and clean, and that restaurant "Champ's Sports" just down the road has absolutely the nicest bathrooms I've ever had the pleasure of squatting in. All automated, smelled great, no piss on anything, and even had an automatic freshy-scent sprayer after you vacate the stall. It is the public restroom by which I measure all others now.![]()

trust me...everyone in the state of ohio (and anyone who pays attention to college football) knows all about the scandals he brought. it's not just suing the NFL to get in even though he was only 18 or 19. it was all kinds of stuff he said about the program that was taking care of him. he totally turned his back on them. we all recognized him. no one looked AT him, but there were plenty of whispers, none good.
