I was just wondering when all of yall moved out and if yall think it was too early and what not. I am 19 and still living with my parents, I turn 20 in Sept. I work 2 jobs, Vet Tech half the week, and work for my dad the other half. I make enough to move out I guess, but I have one thing holding me back. A 60lb Pit Bull named Capone. If anyone doesnt know, an apartment is hard to come by if you have a dog, much less a big one, and even slimmer being an American Pit Bull Terrier. Do yall think I should stay home, conitnue to save money and look for more paying job, or what??? Ohh yah, that dog is also strictly outside and has never been trained for inside.
hehe kick ass, I envy you, in norway pit bulls are illegal because people with no education and care for animals use them as tools of intimidation.
Is it hot were you live, being an outside dog.
A big thanks to all my friends in the USA, I am deeply grateful for your hospitality and kindness.
Rent a house.
I moved out at 18yrs old.

I live in Texas. Right now it is 69 degrees. It was down to like 27 a week ago bu it jumped back up to 70. It usually gets about 100 in the summer and 30 at coldest in winter. Pit Bulls are generally GREAT with any climate. He sleeps in an insulated dog house though with hay and all that good stuff. When he is on chain, he just has a normal Dogloo doghouse with hay in it.
You know whats funny, I work at a vet and Pit Bulls are one of the nicest breeds that come in...it trailor trash and ganster ass wannabe's who give the dog a bad name. There meant to fight other dogs, not fight humans....but this world's sick society has changed all that...and still blame it on the "true" dog fighters of the past and present.
Here he is, incase anyone is interested. 60 rock hard lbs of TEXAN Pit Bull....LOL, more muscle than all of yall....LMAO Ohh yeah, the attack picture...he aint mean AT ALL...just loves his chew rope.

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

well the only alternative to not moving out is living at home until you dont have the dog anymore?
i think you should rent or buy a house, since apartments are out of the question.
i moved out at 19. although i think i was a bit young, i couldnt get out quick enough.

If you move out, go for a house. Maybe see if friends are up for moving out with you, or in the paper for people looking for roomies if you don't know anyone that does. It'll teach you to manage your finances and some responsibility on that part if you do decide to live away from your parents.
On the other hand, if you are trying to save up money, then living at home is the best deal at all, mostly if parents don't mind. Paying them a little for rent/board is a whole lot cheaper then paying for rent, utilities, food, and necessities all on your own.
It's up to you man. Are you going through school/planning on it? Or are you just looking for a better job? What's holding you back, is more or less what I'm wondering.

Rock...
The only thing about him that keeps people away are his looks. You have a better chance getting bit by my parents mutt.. this is a picture of him and Capone. If anyone knew all they had to do was open the gate and say, "lets go for a ride"..Capone would be gone LOL..he is EXTREMELY people friendly!!!
Everyone else...thanks for replys and comments.
The only bad thing about Pits is they LOVE LOVE LOVE to fight. It doesnt look like it in that picture...but if you look at the above post under Capones big head, you will notice a scratch on his nose..he got that from a accidental fight with the white dog.. my mom called me at work and told me the dogs were fighting and she was on crutches and couldnt do nothing..I came home to find the white dog COVERED in blood with Capone licking him like saying "im sorry but you f*cked up" LOL...Capone had a scratch on the nose, Dozier had 250 dollars worth of drain tubes and stitches. That is why we chain Capone when we leave or at night. Just out of precaution. But what can you say, he is a TYPICAL Pit Bull. Nice to humans, but will MESS UP another dog when provoked.....
Sorry so much typing, I love my dog LOL
Nights..... I want a rent house but with two jobs I am only bringing in like 350 a week on average. I have a lot of extras I pay for that add up...LOL, but my main thing is the dog. I just cant dump him on my parents cause I BEGGED for him when I was younger, and he is my road dog...you know... I dont like the idea of a roommate, cause mainly I still hang out with all my pothead friends (even though drugs are in my PAST..being so busy, its hard to find new friends, much less let go of old ones) who I would number one...not trust who they brought over...EXPECIALLY with my dog there. I am putting some thought in getting a single wide and moving it on our land (15 acres) and going from there....they already gave me full permission to do that...another thing is I am trying to build my credit right now the safest way possible.

With only 350 a week I wouldn't go for renting a house by yourself. You'd be paying for little other then that and utilities and you'd be done. Not sure what a single wide is, but I imagine its a trailer of sorts, so that doesn't sound like a bad idea. To build credit, utilities in your name will definitely not hurt. Course, might want to look into getting a credit card. Put some money on it, make monthly payments for a few months, then pay it off after a few months.Originally Posted by Pitfan04
I don't know. I'd want to be more secure/have better finances before I moved out by myself. Left home when I was 18 (right after grad to the city next province over for school), lived with five others for a bit, then four others, then two, then finally got a place all to myself once I finished school and had a decent job. Right now, my month expenses are around $1700 (300 on loans, 300 insurance, 500 rent, 300 food, 100 utilities, 200 fun) but I'm able to easily clear that plus put quite a bit aside each month. Until you can do the same, then I'd consider why you want to move out.
If you get along with parents, then I'd stay there. I know its not the most glorious of things to say you still live with them, but its the responsible thing to do when trying to earn money so you can start your own life/look for a better job. If its to build credit, there are easier and less expensive ways to do it then live on your own. Don't know what to tell you other then that.

I think this topic has come up a few times before, you might wanna give a search.
You might also want to give some thought to WHY people move out of their parents house...
did they go to college?
how did they get along with their parents?
what reason did they have to move out (girls, drugs, dogs, guns, etc...)?
how much money were they making?
how much have they saved?
it seems like the younger a person moves out the less sense it makes...
I'm all for staying with your parents as long as possible...I know PLENTY of people 26-30 that still live with their parents.
mean lookin dog. when did you start feeding it AAS??
I was 20
Best way to cheat on deadlifts...
Stand there for a few minutes, then pace back and forth a lot, huff and puff, wait until everybody's looking. Approach the bar. Back off. Approach it again. Back off. Get some water. Chalk up. Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. Jump up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY". Then give high fives all around. - Belial
I am 22 and feel no need to move out atm. I work and go to school full time the only time I am home is to sleep. I will move out when I finish college.
A 60 pound dog doesn't need a 3/8" chain that can hold a bulldozer in place. That's kinda cruel.

I wouldn't bet on it Belial. I've seen dogs that size break chains of decent thickness. Not that thick, but pretty thick. Besides, I'm willing to bet that his dog is above average strength. Of course I don't think any dog should be tied up. That's no way to live.

I'd bet on it.
If you've known 60 pound dogs that can exert several tons of force on a chain, then I stand corrected.

If I can't break the chain, the dog can't.
I moved out at 22. I've had the same good job since 20, but I get along pretty well with my parents, so I didn't feel the need to move. I think that if you really need the space, then go with the trailer. If you just feel too old to be there, get over it. You're not doing bad. Just concentrate on finding another way to earn more money whether it be a better job, going to school, or a side business doing what you love. Breed dogs or something. Once you can afford to move out without exhausting yourself, then the time is right. Eight hours pay should be all you need to get out of the house if you do it right.
