Anyone know where i can find this lifting routine and the theories behind it? I did a search and couldn't find anything in this forum.

They say that when your ships comes in
The first man takes the sails
Second takes the afterdeck
The third: the planks and rails.
Something struck me in the first paragraph of that article. They have 24 lifters who can squat 800+ but only 6 members that can deadlift 800+....
I guess because most powerlifters are short?

No, it's because they don't train the deadlift much. Also, they focus a lot on training in equipment and equipment doesn't lend itself to much improvement in the deadlift like it does the squat and bench.Originally Posted by trich daddy
Also, the world record squat is 1142 pounds. The world record deadlift is 932 or 933 (I can't remember which). There are a lot of 800 pound squatters, much fewer 800 pound deadlifters in the world.
Being short can help you in the deadlift as long as your arms are short.
