Hello Everyone, this is my first post.
Lets see...I just started the first wannabebig workout routine last week and had a question about deadlifts.
I run into conflicting websites that tell me how to properly perform a deadlift. My problem is with finishing a rep. Do I set the barbell down after each rep, like starting a new set? Or do I keep it from the ground and finish out my set? This question is for straitleg and regular deadlifts. I'm sorry if this is a repeat question, I thought it'd be a good way to introduce myself. Thanks.
I let the plates hit the ground, and then I pull back up. Some set the BB down completely. I don't think it really matters all that much. Just do the movement however you feel most comfortable. It's more important to keep your back firm and contracted to prevent injury.
Thanks for the reply, I just did strait-leg deadlifts for the first time and it felt great. Thanks.
Do yourself a big favor and read this article. It could save you alot of trouble and pain. http://www.wannabebigforums.com/show...adlift+article
If you just touch n'go, make sure you don't bounce. It can **** your back and it will piss off everyone in the gym(noise)
I reset on each rep.
