    Biceps

What do you guys do for working your bis? I mean I do standing curls sitting on a 90 degree angle curls and preacher curls ( I think they are called). Any suggestion to adding some serious size to my arms? Tricep work as well...Any tips welcomed...

The exercise doesn't matter much. Eating more will make your biceps grow more than any specific exercise will.

Is size also related to strength? I mean, will I lose potential strength by not eating a lot or does strength come without the size?

It should be a bit easier to gain strength than size without increasing calories, particularly in the less than "highly trained" athlete, as many more neurological factors are involved with strength. To avoid going into a long winded, tough to articulate response, I'll just say that you should eat more to maximize both size and strength.

As a matter of fact Preacher Curls target the Brachilis (sp?) A great bicep excercise, simple as it seems is the Barbell Curl. With a straight bar, better then then EZ curl bar. Try some of thse out, and make sure to eat a lot, and you should beable to gain some size. For Tri's some great excercises are Skull Crushers, and the Close Grip Benchpress. Try some of them out, good luck!!

I simply prefer heavy back work/pull ups to target my biceps. Weighted dips are excellent for triceps as well, just be careful you don't go too low and hurt your shoulder.

If you can't rep 125% of body weight on chins, then don't worry about doing curls. You need to get some basic strength first. After you can rep that weight, well, add more and continue to not worry about curls.

If you have more normal genetics in the arm department, one of the most important things to remember for putting size on your arms (besides eating a horse every day) is to not neglect your triceps. Most people's triceps can easily get twice as big as their biceps, and quite frankly, your bicep muscle is almost useless compared to your triceps. More importantly, don't neglect the rest of your body, ESPECIALLY your legs. Your legs can put more size and weight on than any other muscle on your body, and your body grows best as a whole. Your upper body can only get so big if you have twig legs. This is natural so you are less likely to injure yourself. Set a routine, follow it religiously, and don't look in the mirror or with the measuring tape for results after every workout.

Titanium is right, work your legs. Big legs=more body and blood mass which= more blood to pump into your bi's when working those. Working legs will also stimulate your hormones more. Altough you are young and already full of hormones. Damn you youngsters! So yes, you need to eat eat eat away because of this metabolizm.
One other tip, if you aren't doing it. Make sure you perform whatever curls you are doing in a smooth controlled manner. I see too many teenagers in the gym thinking they are the shiat curling 40 to 50lb dumbells while jerking/swinging the hell out of them. Give me a break, I could grab 120's and probably do the same thing.

This (lying tricep extension) is also known as a skullcrusher because if not done properly, you could crush your skull.

the French Press is most commonly associated with elevating your weight over your head in the erect position though it has sometimes been called a Lying French Press.

Haha! Love it. He's right. No need for curls when you have chins and rows.

I'm trying all these Bicep suggestions out they are working great getting a good pump anyway...on a different note...Benching what would you say is a good amount to bench if you weighed 140 pounds...I know you are going to say it depends on the person...But I mean honestly...I'm just trying to compare myself to others my age...I bench 210 BTW

I get all of my arm work done with my chest and back work.
Assuming that your diet is in order, you don't really need curls if you're doing chins and rows.
The best thing that I ever did for my triceps was to pull my grip slightly narrower when I bench- just inside the rings. My weight decreased for a little bit, but now it's higher than before and my triceps are much larger as a result.
