Hello, maybe someone who has competed or experimented with this let me know, O.K, I've been reading that you need to lower your sodium and intake more potassium to draw water into the cells, to look really good before a show, but how do you handle this?
How many days do you sodium deplete, do you drink distilled water or reduce your fluid intake, etc?

I am not going to touch this one with a 10 foot pole...
A board is not the place to try and learn how to do this.
Why are you wanting to do a sodium load?
There was a post on this a while back

Why are you wanting to do a sodium load?
I didn't want to sodium load, I was talking about depleting, or drying out as they say now. I don't know, guess I was reading another section in that,"Sliced", book, so I thought I'd ask some people who have competed before...

Check out the book "Optimum sports nutrition" by Michael Colgan. He has some basic guidelines which would be helpful to you. I've used some information from his book and it has worked well. Then with practice you can develop your own plan. Good luck
