    increase strength and lose muscle

I have been reading a few older posts on BF% and a lot of them say that when you go on a cut, and lose 2lbs or more per week, you can be losing muscle. My question is, can you lose muscle, yet still get stronger?

    Yes, it is possible.

Your strength is not solely dependent upon muscle mass - your nervous system (recruitment of muscle fibers) is one of the prime factors in maximal strength.
