    Pick 3

Out of the following 4 leg exercises, which 3 would you do as your leg routine?

    squats
    hack squats
    leg presses
    leg extensions

I'd probably just do really heavy squats and extensions and leave the others out.

But, if I had to pick 3, I suppose I'd pick squats, hack squats, and extensions.

For some reason, I like the idea of squats, followed by squats, followed by more squats. I use leg presses and extensions, but the more I think about it, I like the idea of just squatting the whole time.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

I am wondering why you narrowed it down to those exercises? I dont really see much that hits the hammys.

    Squats
    Front Squats
    Overhead Squats
Bottom Position Squats ( one a month)

    For the Hamstrings
    -elevated bent leg deadlifts
-cable pull throughs-face away from a low cable pulley-bend over, grab the handle between your legs and pull the cable throgh, coming to a near standing position-or dragging a sled with the rope between your legs

Hmmm, can I make some changes?
    1) Squats from a surfboard done blindfolded
    2) Squats done from a swing set
    3) Lunges performed on a moving car

Unstable surface training...anyone catch the T-nation "Think Tank" discussion where Davies got spanked like a little school boy? Funny stuff. Somehow the article got removed from the forum. Somehow...

Lunges or Reverse Lunges, Squats, Calf Raises in that order. This is what I've been doing since starting out one month ago. I like it, it's a simple leg routine. If I had a leg curl machine I would throw some of those in there, but probably not necessary.

The question was posed specifically regarding 4 exercises. Why are people suggesting alternative ones? I think he's missing out on some important exercises too, that's not his question.

    Squats, hacks, leg press

    From those four...

    Squats, leg presses and extensions...

(I'm not a huge fan of extensions, however, I find hacks really hard on my knees).

Probably for similair reasons people always seem to suggest eating food when someone asks what supplement or weight gainer they should try (very redundant here). The reasons I suggested alternatives is: 1. I did not read the post well enough and thought it was one of those "if you could do just 3 exercises, what would they be?" questions and 2. I just felt like giving different options But to choose from those four I'd have to agree with you. I'm not so sure about leg extensions they seem to screw up my knees and going heavy on them doesn't feel right nor does the movement.
