HELP!! I need funding for a course...
I want to get into a course thru Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) but its gunna cost nearly $4000!! Yes, I get great qualifications at the end of it, can go around Oz or the world, but being unemployed, I aint got that sort of dosh...
I rang Centrelink, no help there and I rang my job agency too. They say I need written proof that I will have employment at the complettion of the course. Well, if I had a crystal ball, I could tell them couldnt I?? Anyone in Australia got any ideas for me??

My Canadian oppinion is: Get unemployment to help you cover the cost or.....get a job and save up 4000.

My Asian American opinion is the same as that of Adam's canadian opinion...go to the bank and get a loan...so once u finish and get a job u can pay that loan off...

My Australian opinion is invest it in the NSW TAB
Race 3 at Canterbury tonight should see Rich Count get up.
But seriously, you don't have much chance of getting Centrelink to pay for it. Your best option would be to get a job, any job, and save up the cash. What course is it exactly?He who hesitates masturbates........

my norwegian-australian opinion would be try to get a HSC loan or whatever that student loan is called. I know that usyd offers a $ 1,000 loan WITN NO INTEREST!! Maybe you should check into something like that.

I did some more research and TAFE might be the way to go. It will take 2 yrs part time, but Im happy enough to do that. Then when I get my Cert.3 I can start in the gyms and continue studying for Cert.4....eventually work for myself. And yeah, Centrelink were a waste of my F**king time.Give me DOMS or give me death

TAFE is good, but it's a pity that they have increased there fee's by a fair bit over the past year or so. Good luck with the course.
BTW, I hope you didn't put any money for the win on Rich Count in the third at Canterbury on Thursday night. It came second. But it did pay $3.20 a place.
