usually for cardio i run for about 30 mins but i think i got pretty much all i can get outta dat. so im thinking about doin this for cardio. run 1 minute as fast as i can keep up for that minute then rest and do it 30 times so its a total of 30 mins that im actually running. is this good for cardio? i read sumthing like this in flex magazine.

I heard of that and I heard it is a good alternative to just a 30 minute jog. I don't know what you mean by rest, but what i heard is run hard for 1 to 2 minutes, then walk fast for 1 minute and repeat. That way you can increase your heart rate even higher and maintain it.
I haven't done it personally though. Does anyone know the name of that cardio workout?

i think your talking about hit
actually it is HIIT. try reading this

plenty of info on HIIT
Try rowing, it's very intense
you can try to do this...
if you're on the bike or elliptical do 2mins normal and 1min really fast and repeat this pattern for 11mins. the purpose is try to save time, but if you want just add in more time. if you're on the elliptical, try to do it in reverse for variation.
you can try this method on the treadmill. Cardio is good and all but i don't really have 30 or 40 mins to do it. because i could have use that 30 mins to feed myself =)
